malgremor
Member Tosimie has released a mod that reduces the size of Bosmer ears. The description says this was very difficult & took some 8 hrs to do. I am interested in doing something similar & need advice & a "walkthrough" as to how to go about it. For aesthetic reasons I want my Dunmer's ears bigger & flaring, like the ones in Morrowind. It seems that the ears in Oblivion are part of the head mesh, instead of the hair, as in Morrowind. I wonder if Bethesda made the ears so small & flat so they wouldn't clip with the helmets? A lot of things about the Oblivion faces bother me, but with time & patience most can be corrected with the facegen editor. If nothing else, I'll be making some face replacer mods. The ears though, are part of the mesh & probably require 3D modeling skills which I don't possess.

Why don't you just switch out the Dunmer ear mesh with the Bosmer ear mesh in the Construction Set? It would be very easy actually. If you don't know how to do it maybe I will.. it's an idea. :P Here you go - it's a simple .esp file. You don't even need any meshes. The only problem is it makes the Dunmer go back to default with hair and eye choices - this probably means it would need to be added to a compilation mod. Maybe I'll add it to mine in a future release, but for now if you want to look at what was done to make this file, be my guest.
