phoneyLogic Posted April 27, 2011 Share Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) You must set the door or gate persistent to link it with the trigger.Btw: didnt you create a new trigger? myref is the doorif you use the script, you dont need the doors reference. phoneyLogic Posted April 27, 2011 Share Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) ok rewrote the script as per your last post manged to link the trigger to the gate evreything went well but still doesnt work ingame just had a thought thou im using a key to open the gate does that matter Since this sounds a little confusing1. create a new activator2. attach exactly that script3. hit the [T] Button, to create the triggerbox in the cell view window4. after creating the triggerbox, the dialogue pops up to choose your created activator with the attached script5. make the trigger and the door persistent6. link the trigger with the door Works like a charm for me.Maybe the trigger creation went wron? phoneyLogic Posted April 27, 2011 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Is not dump, go to -Object window--Activator <- "highlight" it In the space, there all the activators are, right-click and hit new in the upcoming dialugueGive it a name, which now is the base id of your new created activator. phoneyLogic Posted April 27, 2011 Share Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) best thing doing first is to update the latest geck, which came out this week and to really do the my first vault tutorial to learn the basics, which is the GECK handling. This will save you a 1000 tons of trouble btw and prevents you from doing crazy rooky stuff :biggrin: Well, really, do that tutorial first. Saves you and any other lots of time.
