.omod extraction

Recommended Posts

Greetings to all

Recently I've downloaded a fairly big mod. The mod came in the format of a .omod file format, a format that I'm not very fond of. Anyhow, I have a little problem concerning the .omod file. Here is the little problem.

Whenever I want to extract/install the omod, it keeps on extracting to my c drive (which is very limited to space) and then moves the folders over to oblivion. Now my c drive does not have e lot of space on it, and thus when the omod decompresses its files, it fills the last bit of space on my drive and ends the install due to insufficient space.

I've tried to re-direct the omod to NOT extract to a temp file on c, but rather to a different drive with more space, however, it fails. The omod keeps on extracting to c. Is there anyway to force the omod not to extract to my c drive, and instead to a different one? I tried to manually extract the omod with OBMM, but it keeps on making the temp file on c, and afterwards extracts to it.

(I'm waiting for my new pc parts to arrive, but in the meantime I have to sit with limited space.) and a omod that keeps extracting to the wrong drive.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Regards

Start OBMM. Click on the Settings button. On the lower right, is a group of buttons, one of which is "Move Temp Directory", or some such. That should let you put it where you want it.

Thank you, I know it might have been a n00b question, but thank you for the assist. :)

Hey Man, everyone is a n00b at some point. That's why forums like this exist. To help folks out. Besides, the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked. :D

Have fun! And, glad to have helped.
