I've always liked snipers (not just the rifle, but the actual unit), tactics, stealth and other similar things. Thad what this mod (my first proper one) is primarily about. I am making this realistic with nothing stupid or crazy. It also kinda annoyed me when on the FO:NV Nexus and you search sniper, you get 400 hits for companions with scoped rifles an 15 OP guns. What if the Player wants to be a sniper? I need help making it. Read on if your interested.People who may be interested:Modders with spare time/no project/out of ideasPeople who understand whatever programs are needed to make items in fallout(I've looked, but found nothing)Anyone else who feels like it DESCRIPTIONI would need 1-2 people who know how Model, texture and implement weapons. OVERVIEW -Short3-5 New weapons2 New perks1(+) new detailed quest OVERVIEW -LongI'm not going to give out all my ideas for obvious reasons, but here's (so far) what I'd think I'd like (give me feed back, tell me what you think). I am open to ideas and willing to change mine as long as you are yours. 3-5 new weapons-sniper rifle (I'll draw it or something, idea from my head)-pistol ( able to have mods attached, something probably like an M9. -knife (just know I'm good at designing knives, (I think, and I've been told) but I can't make them). -flares (I'm thinking a very scaled down missile with custom explosion (red plasma flash) and incendiary. Fired from a *sawn off single grenade rifle "flare gun" more detail to come)-Shuriken (ninja star) (maybe)- Much better binoculars (make them worth having, zoom *2.5 or something) 2 new perks(I know them, you don't :) At least 1 new Quest(I've thought of an outline of one, I think it's good) CONCLUSION - THE PART WHERE YOU MAKE YOUR DECISION I have no idea how long it will take, I've never relied on the community before. People need patience not pressure, die-hard veteran modders need to calm down a bit I am relatively new to the GECK but I'm willing to learn and put in my part, you won't be "tailor making a mod just cause I say" I'll go into more detail if anyone is actually interested so please get back to me or leave feedback as to what you think I should add or what you could help with. Seriously Im not saying this to be a jerk off. I'm just stating that people helping you, is kinda like asking for world peace by ligting yourself on fire. Didn;t work then either. But your concepts are doable. So start with what you can. viking99 Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 a few advice: start on your own and when you have something more substantial request for help. 1. build a simple base where your quest and dialogue take place. (or use a free resource there are many of them out there.)don't worry to much about decorating you can perfect that later. 2.write your storyline create npc and plan quests and dialogue. advanced and complex scripting will slow you down a lot so keep it simple. you can always add more advanced features in version 2. 3.If you are not familiar with making armor and weapons start with vanilla items and put up a help request when you are about halfway done. 4. save voice acting until your mod is 100% finished you will change quests and dialogue during the journey. 5. enjoy yourself, expect problems and expect the work to take at least 3 times longer than expected good luck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks in advance. well i like your idea but the m9 is a bit modern and iv always really thought that mods that add modern guns and armor are a bit unrealistic. I have been using photoshop and gimp for years but iv only really just started with the fallout textures and stuff so i could help with textures if we used the vanilla weapons and edited them with new models and textures (kind of like the gobi rifle) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I completely agree with you on that. I'm just stating something they might look like - but not the same, id try to make them kinda fit the scene. I was gonna get a M200 intervention and drastically change it for the sniper. And I changed my mind on the M9 also. I reckon a HK-USP base model.
