IsaiahTheKoala
Forum noob hereEver since I got new vegas a few years back, I just wanted to learn how to install mods. I recently got fallout 4 and I thought i finally understood and it it work would- NOPE.I followed these steps precisely on enabling mods on this link http://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation I found some mods i like and downloaded them to the MM. (Robot home defense, lowered weapons, skyrim dance animations, jackets and coats of the commonwealth)None of them but lowered weapons work. No robots when I check the workshop, command to do dance isn't working, and the command to get the coats and jackets isnt working. I don't know why it won't work. I have seriously wanted to mod for soooo long and some help letting me jazz up my game will be greatly appreciatedEdit: these are the steps in the link How to enable moddingNavigate to your Fallout 4 Folder at the following location "Documents/My Games/Fallout 4" Within this folder will be a number of .ini files, highlight "Fallout4Prefs.ini" and "Fallout4.ini". Right Click, select Properties and ensure that these are NOT marked as read only. Open Fallout4Prefs.ini with your favourite text editor (we use Notepad++). Navigate to the very bottom and you will see the line [Launcher]. Directly underneath this, add the following line: bEnableFileSelection=1 Save and Close Open Fallout4Custom.ini with your favourite text editor. * Note that this file was changed from Fallout4.ini following update 1.2 Add the following lines to your Fallout4Custom.ini [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= Save and close... bLakZmOke
uhh, I just use NMM but I think in previous games there was also option in launcher
Ethreon
Then I have no idea what else you could do. You could try to add that to your FalloutPrefs.ini in the fallout directory (not the My Documents one). And install mods manually.
