recktu
So all was well with NMM until i updated it a few days ago. Not sure what has happen but my NMM is not installing mods correctly. i download them activate them make sure the plugin is active and it seem's like everything is ok but then i enter game and nothing has changed. I've been modding my fallout games for years and have never had this problem before. at the moment i'm having to manually install mods.and it's a pain in arse. I'm just wondering if this a bug with NMM or is it on my end? i've changed all files as needed. The only thing i can think of that's changed in the past few days is i finally got around to updating NMM to the lastest version.
wax2k
How dow you launch the game? The button in NMM, through Steam or with the Fallout Launcher itself?
GreggoryB
Having the same issue with Scrap Dead Things Mod. The plugins.txt file keeps changing to read only even when launching Fallout from NMM.
SirTwist
Greggory8, NMM makes the plugins.txt read-only so that it can run the game. You don't need to fiddle with it while running the game. When you need to, though, is when you run Loot. And for that I recommend opening the folder containing plugins.txt and remving the read only, run Loot with NMM closed down, and letting loot see the order, and sorting it. When it's finished, exit out of Loot, then put the read only back on, and running NMM.
recktu
Sorry for the slow response. I've tried launching it through all the means. NMM, Fallout4.exe, Steam, Launcher, does the same thing. Today i actually noticed that NMM is showing that the mods are installed and all is well. but it is not putting the textures / sounds / meshes into my data folder. i have to manually drag them over. Doe's anyone know what would cause this? Edited February 5, 2016 by recktu
wax2k
Happens mostly when either having Fallout installed in one of Windows' standard Program Files folders (try launching NMM with admin rights and then installing the mods again in that case or copy the files manually), or when having Fallout and NMM's virtual mod folder on different harddrives (try copying the files manually in that case).
