battleooze
I've been having this problem since launch. I tried looking for a solution a while ago, but nobody seemed to have one or even understand what the problem was. I'm not at the size limit and I have all the required items to place this, but I cannot. This happens for some items and not others for some reason. Anyone know why? As you can see below the green placement icon won't show up. http://i67.tinypic.com/30x8oq1.jpg
wax2k
Do you use mods? Did you try it in vanilla? Does it only happen, when you only have the exact amount needed of one of the resources (steel in this case)? What happens, if you get 1 more steel now? battleooze
Getting more steel solved it! I guess that might have been the problem all along? I always thought it was something to do with copper because it kept happening to thing associated with power. And yes it has been happening since I was playing pure vanilla. Thank you wax2k have fun at Harvard or the space program where smart people go! :'D
wax2k
I guess it's a rounding error... either, you actually only have 1.9 steel or similar, which is not enough to build it. But the GUI shows it as 2. Or the object actually needs 2.1 steel or similar while only showing 2. Was just a lucky guess... though I do seem to get lucky a lot when it comes to these kind of issues  Keep an eye on it, in case it happens again. But it is at least a plausible theory.
