Crashing in Oblivion gate, help me please?

Hello,

 

I'm having problems with Oblivion crashing at certain times (explaining the problem better at bottom) and since I've tried everything I can think of and can't find an answer anywhere I thought I'd try getting some help here. I'm going to try to give as much info as possible, to help with fixing my problem.

 

First of all; (System Specs)

Windows 7 64x

8 GB System RAM

Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz

1TB Drive about ~190GB free (This is my main drive, the one Oblivion is installed on.)

DirectX latest version

ATI Radeon HD 4650

 

 

Second of all; (Mod List) (Some of my mods are my own, like AinsleyRae'sRandomStuffies.esp, it has random stuff like enchanted armor and weapons I've made, some chests in places I needed them, houses and places I've attempted to create, basically a sandbox type thing for me to play around with, nothing real big. Also Misc Clothing&Armor Compilation.esp and AlienSlof-MiscModsCollection.esp are just where I've combined plugins from mods together so I wouldn't have 500+ mods. The first one is pretty much all HGEC armor I use combined, and the second is pretty explanatory, just all of the AlienSlof mods I like, combined to save space. Also just for the record those are for personal use and I've never uploaded or shared them. Thought I'd mention those even though I'm sure they don't effect my problem, hopefully. And I'm just trying to be really thorough...probably over doing it =P)

Now for the problem. It crashes randomly when exiting game and loading ever since I got Win7, but I've heard that happens to a lot of people who have Win7 so that's not big. But my main problem is that it's crashing when I go into Kvatch Oblivion Gate. Not right away, but when I run up to a Scamp to kill it, it crashes. So I thought maybe it's a problem with scamps, or when they cast their fire spell. Not sure still. But I did try using "kill" in ~ console from far away, far away enough to select the scamp and kill it, but not close enough for it to crash me. And that worked at first, but then I got to one of those pods you can open, like a chest, and crashed right when I got near it. So I have no idea...it doesnt do it in regular world, only in Oblivion. Actually I can't remember if I killed a scamp in regular world so not sure about that. I don't think I have any mods that affect creatures except OOO, and I don't know what the problem could be. But yea, hopefully someone can find out what the problem is, or if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's a mod problem or what. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks~

Your load order is a mess. You need to install BOSS, update the masterlist and run it. And then rebuild your Bashed Patch according to this:

 

 

 

When you press 'Rebuild Patch', make sure that you check the following:

 

Merge Patches

Import ... [Go through each 'import' option and if there's a mod, not csv in the right window, check it, and the Import... option.]

Cobl Catalogs [ONLY if you use Cobl]

Contents Checker

Leveled Lists

Race Records

SEWorld Tests [ONLY if you have Shivering Isles installed]

 

The Globals and Tweaks are optional, but should not be checked unless you know what you are doing, and should be left alone while you are troubleshooting. Everything else should be left unchecked UNLESS you know that you need it.
