shark84
So,I installed some mods for Oblivion and now my game keeps crashing. It was working fine in the sewers/dungeon,but on the surface,it crashes after walking to a particular place (about 50 metres from the sewer exit,I guess) .It didn't crash once but then I got killed and when I reloaded, the game crashed at the same spot. The mods I am using are:http://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss331/The_Sniper/Untitled01.pnghttp://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss331/The_Sniper/Untitled0.png I am also using the unofficial oblivion patch. Before I had applied the Quarl's texture pack fix for the unofficial patch, the game crashed after the loading screen at the sewer exit. Now I can go out but the game crashes after a while...I also tried playing without using one of the three graphics mods(UL,QTP,NE) but that didn't help either :wallbash: What should I do? EDIT:Whoops,I just saw that the title is totally wrong.Well, not totally but the game crashes in random spots in a particular area.I deeply apologise for my mistake. Hickory
Try disabling QTP and the QTP patch. Do not use the outdated and buggy Natural Environments. Go for an up to date alternative, All Natural. And place the UOP and Vampire fix first. Better still, install and use BOSS -- do NOT leave OBMM open after installing mods, and do NOT use the 'Launch Oblivion' button. OBMM should always be closed after installing and uninstalling mods, because it does not finish cleaning up until you do so. I will state this again, because it is important to get used to it: NEVER leave OBMM open after installing/uninstalling or when running other utilities like BOSS or the game. It doesn't matter about QTP, as it's just a texture replacer, but make sure you run BOSS after you install any mod that adds plugins. Please don't bump threads. My settings are to watch all threads I reply to, so I will be notified of your reply.
