Plabye
Hello, recently I tried many times to play fallout 3, because one of my friends was all about Fallout 4 and I thoguht I'd give the 3rd a shot since he had offered me it.I got a GTX 980 recently so I thought I'd mod the game and make it look like Fallout 4 :) Before telling any further info, here's my config GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 (4gb)CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k 3,4Ghz, never overclockedRAM: 8GbI have windows 7, 64bits I went to ENB preset on nexus, and chose the very first one: Chromatic Melancholy. Before downloading the ENB files and the preset, I made sure I installed all the recommanded mods first:-View Distance Decreased - modified-F03 Flora Overhaul-NMCs Texture Pack for Fallout 3-Enhanced Blood Textures-Alternate Megaton Lighting-Fallout 3 Redesigned - Formally Project Beauty-HD Smoky Fire and Explosions-EVE - Energy Visual Enhancement-F3R - Fallout 3 Retextured-Fallout 3 Hirezd-FO3-WRP - Weapon Retexture project-Omnis Hi-Res Pip-Boy 3000-Improved LOD Noise texture-Impact (I took the mickael bay version) Of course, I installed the mods after reading their main page, for instance I made sure I installed "ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated" for Formally Project Beauty. Then, I finally installed the ENB files, carefully respecting every step written on the page. Now, I don't have any problem running the mods, they all work perfectly god and my game looks really nice. However my game stutters, mostly when I turn the camera, and it's really annoying. I don't know why it stutters like this considering my config. I did many tests, I played while disabling the ENB, it still stuttered. I disabled the other mods, and it still stuttered, which makes me even more confused. Does anyone have this problem ? :/
M48A5
Did you really read the mod page for NMC's texture pack? You do not mention making the game large address aware. Also, see this: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1465357-installing-fallout-3-with-windows-78-and-xp/
Plabye
Thank you :) I did the thing with the large adress aware, it still stutters but I saw in the page you linked me that I shouldn't have modded the game before leaving the vault and exploring the landscapres at least an hour or two. I'll have to delete the game, reinstall it, replay the beginning and explore outside the vault for a few hours and then I'll put mods again. I hope it'll work this time ^^
Plabye
I have reinstalled Steam outside of Program Files, I have reinstalled Fallout 3 on my SSD and did the tweaks in the link you showed me. I waited until I exited the vault and explored the landscape for about 1 hour or 2. So now I just reinstalled The chromatic melancholy ENB and there it is again, the massive stutter when I move the camera around =CI haven't installed any mod except the ENB. Why does it lag like this ? EDIT= I had forgotten some stuff to do with the enbserielocal file, and also I disable V-sync in the launcher, since I noticed the ENB takes care of it too, like the AA and Anys.filter.Nevertheless I still get stutters, even if there's less, they're still here :/ Edited February 4, 2016 by Plabye
