SkyTaylor21
The nif scripts download was moved to another site and when I went to that site it said to download zip and I didn't think it was a zip file. Turns out that my blender isn't up to date so I can't do what I wanted. Thanks for the help anyways. :) Edited February 5, 2016 by SkyTaylor21
Prismuth
Go to the download section, just like you'd download a mod. It gives you all you need. No need to click on the links and go to other sites. Everything in that download has the correct versions of things so they'll work together properly. What were you trying to do? DarthWayne
You can do all without the plugin. To get a .nif into Blender simply export to .obj with NifSkope and then import the .obj in Blender. When you want to get the edited mesh back into your .nif, export to .3ds in Blender and import the exportet file in NifSkope. If you have a mesh consisting of multiple objects you should do this with each object separately. Edited February 5, 2016 by DarthWayne

SkyTaylor21
I was going to edit one of the trees in skyrim. but my computer is kinda slow already so I don't think I want to download a newer version of blender.
Prismuth
Which version do you have?
SkyTaylor21
I think 2.
Prismuth
That's actually TOO recent. As the tutorial and link said, you need 2.49. No more, no less. That is the only version compatible.
SkyTaylor21
Oh, I didn't notice that.
Prismuth
Start fresh, get rid of it all and download the one file filled with everything you need from the nexus, and then follow the tutorial I linked to you for the installation order. That should get things working for you. :)
