Alternate download server feedback

#1 server download speed is good, in a range from 35KB/s to 150KB/s, considering I'm behind an ocean from it :)

But some >2 MB files I've tried to download I could only get from #2 (sorry, do not remember which ones), and there is some I can not get from any of them - second includes G_s Oblivion Loot Mod (57MB).

"Retrieving your file for download..." just pops up and nothing happens (had wait at least 5 min). Other >2 MB files start to download in merely seconds after request, much thanks for that!

normal tessource speed for me, which is about 42 kb per second.

The Chicago server works really well. It rarely drops below 100 kbps, and more often it is around 400-500 kbps, which is more than fast enough for me. I think I speak for many when I say all the work you do on this site is well appreciated. I think those who complain about download speeds are people who seem to forget that the site isn't even obligated to exist. Mods are free, and I can't see how some complain about the speed at which they're receiving things for free. Either way, the servers seem to work great. The site itself seems to be more stable as well. Thanks again.

 

NOTE: When I mentioned "complaints" in the above post about DL speeds, it was not and is not directed towards those politely seeking general advice about how to make DL's faster in their area, or giving constructive criticism. It was aimed squarely towards some unreasonably harsh posts I've seen bitching about speeds in a very ignorant way.

i have tryed down loading from both severs and all i got is "Retrieving your file for download..." and it dose nothing else. any help would be great.

Those give off only "Retrieving your file for download...".. please, restore it..

Nearly dozen of other files downloads properly, from both servers.

I'm really liking the Chicago server. I'm downloading at about 3-4 times faster than the old one. (20kbps-50kbps v 150kbps-225kbps)

 

Just thought I'd inform you that the server is a lot faster.

I'm getting about 80k in Los Angeles, which is about twice what I got on the old server.

I'm also from the uk in west Yorkshire and im getting speeds of around 40kbps which aint bad for my net connection

I have used the Varying Speed Server several times. I just downloaded one of Exnem's mods of 18 MB, and I got 220 - 290 KB/s.

Pretty darn good I think.

I am on the Verizon FIOS system, so I do run a little faster than some networks.

But, I'm happy.
