H00V3RD8M
Post 1.3 update, It appears that the F and G keys used to rotate objects in workshop mode have been disabled. When I try to rotate an object in workshop mode, the F and G keys do not respond, nothing happens. This was after I installed the 1.3 patch on my game. Another unintended bug while making the patch. :geek: I hope I am not the only one who has encountered this issue.
hoss156
I am in the same boat I just loaded FO4 today and noticed the same thing. Hope there is a fix to this.
Gilibran
I had all my keys not responding after the update, started out fine on a new game but as soon as i exited the vault or the looks menu no more response. ~ to open console was the only key that worked, and i could type text in the console so it's definately the game. What might help is to check fallout4preffs ini under General set bGamepadEnable=1 to bGamepadEnable=0 Then restart your PC that fixed it for me. It's an old bug that i also had on release of FO4. You might try remapping the keys also, since in your case only a few keys do not work, could be a possible fix to!?
hoss156
Ok I did some looking and while I could not Get the F and G keys to work I found out the Left and Right mouse buttons will do the trick. I guess I will have to get use to this now.
bbs428
I lost my hard drive with windows 7. After a new hard drive and an upgrade to Windows 10, I reinstalled Fallout 4. Besides all the crashes from mods that no longer worked, the F and G rotation key didn't work anymore. WTF? :confused:After a few days of deleting and reinstalling Fallout 4, sifting through each mod to find the crash causers, then searching on line for an answer, I came across this thread. Yup! mouse buttons were working to rotate. Did I miss this in the patch notes? Anyways, It was a relief because I was sure Windows 10 was causing this somehow. What a pain! :geek: Edited February 7, 2016 by bbs428
wax2k
Rotating with mouse buttons was always possible since release. I never used they keys for that. I can't tell you, why the keys don't work anymore though, but I know that they made some changes to keymapping in general, so it might be related to that. bbs428
TY wax2k for the info. I never used the mouse buttons for rotation before. Oh well...
wax2k
In case you use a mod that affects keymapping or for example allows to use keyboard and controller at the same time, it might also be related to that.
bbs428
No, I never did anything with key mapping, nor do any of my current mods that I know of. I can rotate fine atm via the mouse.Seems I have another more pressing problem with how beds are counted (or not counted) in settlements now - but I digress, an issue for another thread. :pinch: Edited February 7, 2016 by bbs428
