I miss my E key, anyone know how I can get it back?

Hi all, sorry if this has been posted/resolved before, I see a lot of people have had key binding issues....

 

Basically, when in construction mode, I used to be able to press E to place objects, or to confirm to scrap them. (Although it says "Press Enter" in the game.)

 

But after the latest patch I have to press Enter, E doesn't work, so scrapping lots of junk or placing multiple items is a massive pain. There's no option to rebind Enter in game (lol) and the program Auto Hot Key doesn't appear to work, so anyone have any ideas?

While i can still use E at scrapping, i cannot send settlers to a settlement with E, instead i have to press enter. Would be interested in a fix, too.

It's a nuisance. I just dunno why AutoHotkey isn't working in game too, it's so frustrating.

I got it working :D

I needed to add a delay at the start of the script, so it reads:

 

SetKeyDelay, 0, 50

e::

Send, {Enter}

Return

-Works like a charm. Djangoku, this also appears to work with sending people to other settlements, so should work for you too. Remember to run Autohotkey as an administrator, good luck!

Hmm... For some unkwon reason, my problem is just gone now. E-key now working as intended again.

Is there a solution for this? To get rid of the compulsory [Enter] key and put it back the way I had it on (thumbwhack) [space] before the update.. Which BTW is EXACTLY why I have MY machine offline most of the time and why my AV and Fw are instructed to block Steam and Bethesda. Precisely to prevent f**kwits messing with the software like this!

 

Anyway have hotkeys light onboard (for 'Modern Firearms') if that will help.
