Strip Club

Would it be too much to ask to have a mod out there that has a strip club. Like using in game animations to create the dancing. Would it be too difficult to also have lap dances and private vip rooms where you can have NPC girls ask you how you want it and then have the animation play out? They could assume doggy style, i am thinking something like a Actors in charge menu would appear and you would choose what you want, then Viola! Would that be too difficult for the Oblivion Modding Community?? Just wondering. This may seem like it has a sarcastic tone, but I am seriously wondering. Thanks guys and gals.

No offense, this sort of thing is really one of those mods that are fun for about 15 minutes (probably less) then you go back to whatever you were doing. It's immature because he wants it in a video game. Mature adults may like sex, but they realize that it has a proper place, and involves more than immature humor. This is just "lol stripperzz!!!" coming from someone who's probably never even seen a real girl naked.

 

 

 

And as for the idea... Vagrant0 is exactly right, it's painfully stupid. For one thing, I would be very surprised if there were more than 5 people in the entire modding community capable of doing it. I consider myself a pretty decent CG artist, and I'd have a lot of trouble with it. I could probably do it, but it would take a lot of frustrating hours of burying myself in tutorial books to learn various things. And I can guarantee you that all of the few people who could even try to do it already have enough projects of their own.

 

And even if they wanted to, you're still looking at a ton of effort. Best-case scenario, they've got a motion capture setup and some exhibitionist friends, and it's just a matter of refining the animations for export. More realistically, you're talking about complex character animation, and doing it all by hand. This is the kind of stuff they pay professional animators to do because it's so hard to get it right. Then add in the various AI/scripting issues, and you're talking about an absurd amount of time for something you'll use for a few minutes before boredom takes over.

 

Lets not forget that the end result is going to look awful anyway. Oblivion's character models and game engine are just lacking in too many ways. For example, cloth physics, swinging/squishy breasts, sex that doesn't involve clipping issues, etc. While I'm sure there might be a bit of comedy value in missing the target and impaling the poor stripper's leg (and/or the bed), it's really just going to suck beyond belief. You clearly have internet access, just download some porn instead.

 

So once again, it comes down to "I'll do it if you pay me". Because that's what it's going to take... by the "time is money" principle, by the time you've wasted all those hours on this project, you could afford to have a pretty impressive party at a real strip club. But if you really want it, it's going to cost you $15 an hour, 10 hours paid up front. This is of course well below what it would cost to hire anyone else.

Well, looks like he don't have to pay you Peregrin since it's already been done. And I must admit, the idea of a strip club in oblivion would be funny. :P Not because of the mature content it would involve, just because it would be.... well funny to look at :P

Not done so much as using an existing animation found in SI, and making an NPC other than Thaedin do it... Which really does kill the whole value of it once you've seen it where it was. More to the point, the request was for something far more complicated, requiring alot of scripting and custom animations. They aren't the same, one is a mod that takes 40-50 minutes to put together once you know where to find the animation, no offense to the 2 or 3 people who made mods like this, the other is a mod that would take a good month or two to put together even after someone had spent X amount of weeks getting the animations working. There is a significant difference between a mod that uses bethsoft stuff, and a mod where you have to make several things from scratch.
