Jokerine
Hey all! I'm getting close to finishing the inn for the small settlement I've been working on, and I was thinking it would've been fun to have a mounted horse head above the fireplace. I tried to use the load screen horse, but as you can see the legs kinda clip through... http://i.imgur.com/IvS04Lc.png Does anybody happen to know where I could find the load screen horse's head alone so I can attach it to the mount? It's the mounted bear base with the bear removed. I know asking for a horse head sounds kinda creepy, hahaha! I just like how it's looking to the side, and it would've been a fun in-joke for myself -- I was bitten on the shoulder by a horse some time ago and now I'm terrified of them, so this would be sort of revenge on my sworn equine enemies! I want to put a carrot on its mouth later and call the inn "The Chomping Horse" or something :P If you know anything, please let me know! Thank you :)
sunshinenbrick
LOL! That made me laugh! It must be my viewing settings or whatever but I'm reading your message and thinking 'looks good' but then also 'what? what legs?' Then I scrolled down! So funny  Sorry to go off course on your topic there, just made me chuckle! As for the mesh, I have not worked with horses before () but you might be able to remove the bones or something in nifscope... Now, now... please! EDIT: Sorry, think its blocks on meshes, not bones...
DrMonops
I think you could just make a copy of the texture and remove the legs from it. Duplicate the load screen horse, set up a texture set, and you're done. Edit: It's a simple solution, but the downside is any horse retextures wouldn't get applied to your horse head. Jokerine
Hm, maybe I could mess with the UV of the static nif instead and move the legs to a transparent spot, and couple that with editing the texture to remove the leg part. Good idea! I'll look around to see if I can find a nice retexture to work with. Thank you both! :)
Tamira
LOL :D How about this:https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/MBO419VuofCixsiLHlS8zRCFLCnzsD7qR454jiW1kGM?feat=directlinkIt is the stripped down loadscreenart Horse_and_rider. I added the wooden plate in Nifskope. When you place it like I did, you can see the rest of the horse only in the CK or with TCL:https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/axOqiV6XEAVCUZaGJKCHzRCFLCnzsD7qR454jiW1kGM?feat=directlink  https://www.dropbox.com/s/3qvnrli9zmfvh0x/HorseMounted.nif?dl=0 When you remove the NiNode with the wooden plate in Nifskope, you have a nice horse statue with collision btw. (Edit: Poor, poor horse ....) Edited February 5, 2016 by Tamira
Jokerine
Haha, that works too! Thanks, Tam. Now I got two horses to mount on the wall! I may save one for myself and use the other in my mod. Really cool! Thank you :)
