MidbossVyers
This Dremora mod: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20527 adds a new Dremora race. However, when one uses it with Ren and Beautiful People, it causes the infamous Googly Eyes glitch. Could someone please provide a fix?
LFact
If it uses new eye texture that is mapped on vanilla eye meshes, using it with BP will cause 'googly eye problem', for BP literally replaces default eye meshes with Elaborate Eyes meshes. For this case, you have to convert eye textures for EE meshes. With Ren's, I have no idea. I don't think Ren's beauty pack changes default eye meshes(and there's no point to use Ren's and BP together). Edited May 3, 2011 by LFact
Telyn
Or you could use Wrye Bash, and make sure when you build your bashed patch you check Race Records. It will sort eyes and hair by race and assign eyes to NPCs that did not have specified eyes. It will usually let you use several eye meshes in your game without googly eyes. MidbossVyers
Could someone create a fix patch that has eyes specifically for this race? Or any other solution to make compatibility with BP.
LFact
Could someone create a fix patch that has eyes specifically for this race? Or any other solution to make compatibility with BP. If you have Photoshop(or any other image editor that supports psd file), you can use Elaborate Eyes modder's resource to convert eye textures. And there's also quick conversion template avaiable. **For quick and dirty conversion, there's eye texture converter for EE(requires Java and texconv.exe(from DirectX SDK)), though it cannot handle large eye textures. MidbossVyers
But could someone please post this fix for others to use? Because I'm sure I'm not the only one encountering this bug.
Lotan21
Here is fixed dremora eye texture for those interested. It's just a quick fix to fit BP eyes. Link
MidbossVyers
And it should go into this folder? Bethesda\Oblivion\Data\Textures\characters\ahtata\ahmora\eyes
Lotan21
And it should go into this folder? Bethesda\Oblivion\Data\Textures\characters\ahtata\ahmora\eyes Yes, at least that worked for me. I just did little editing in photoshop, I by no means understand Oblivion modding. :)
MidbossVyers
Thank you. Unfortunately, upon solving this 1 problem, I found myself encountering 2 more. None of the dremora seem to have any battle voices, and when I try to talk to them, they just have the "I HAVE NO GREETING" bug, instead of their standard "Be quick about it, mortal." Also, on a more cosmetic level, could someone make a "shaved" lower body texture for genitals? It seems that dremora aren't affected by my current texture mod.
