Sirenapples
There's no frickin end to the infuriating things. I uninstalled the game vowing to never touch it again I was so pissed with it yesterday, after dealing with ILS and after ILS constantly, trying ALL AFTERNOON to find out what is wrong with it. Google was absolutely useless, as almost everything was about Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, or about when trying to load the game itself. It's likely connected to the last patch, which seems to be ruining many peoples games. After reinstalling it, I was able to play for 3-4 hours problem free. I only had the irritating POS texture issue where your own character's attire would remain unloaded in addition to random aspects of the area. However, trying to fix that before proved to only screw my game up royally. So I let it be, content to just play the game with the graphic issues. Then this happens. Endless. Random. Infinite. Loading screens. This is the absolutely worst experience I've ever had with a game, and I've played quite a few Early Access games and watched others play many more. Fallout 4 is behaving worse than many Early Access games. Is there anything I can do to stop all these? There is no forewarning, there's no similarities, there is no rhyme or reason. They just happen. Incessantly. No matter what I do or where I go. Often anywhere between 5 to 20 minutes into the game. Sometimes loading is just fine. Othertimes it randomly decides to wet itself, both when just trying to go through a door, other times when loading a save. The same save can load sometimes but not other times. kevkiev
I had this problem once, a while back, and I couldn't get into the game after about 3 ILS's in a row. So not exactly like your issue I suppose. And the "fix" was kinda unusual so I'm not sure if it was coincidence/ just one of those things but, anyways... what I did was to delete a lot of my saves. (I had a TON.) Well, not delete, I archived them in 7z and stored 'em away (just in case). I do this out of habit now. Might be worth a shot? Fistandilius
I'm getting the same issue, but only since the new patch (1.3). I tried deleting all my saves except 3, I tried some .ini tweaks someone recommended, and the only thing I know is that it seems to be related to going indoors or outdoors. I commonly get the black screen with the load icon with an infinite load, but occasionally it's also where you get the rotating image and the facts just keep coming until you use task manager. I sent a ticket to Bethesda, but I haven't read of any fixes that take care of the problem. In fact, I haven't read a lot about people having this issue in general, which makes me think its something to do with my own pc setup. I am running zero mods, so that's a non issue. I haven't even enabled the data menu. I've got a lot of hours into this game, but I'm only scratching the surface of the main quest and I'm about ready to put it down because the load screens are exasperating. I'm getting to the point where I want to save every time I leave an area or fast travel. Edited February 6, 2016 by Fistandilius

I'm getting to the point where I want to save every time I leave an area or fast travel. That's exactly the problem I have/had. I went to an earlier save and it seemed to stop, but I haven't gone back to the places where I had the problem to begin with. It's possible I did something to trigger the problem and that was that, the save was ruined from then on. But from the earlier save things seem normal. ( Normal for me anyway, with the crappy dysfunctional textures ). It's -possible- that it could be, for me, related to the Mysterious Serum. I might have to risk trying the serum again and seeing what happens to know for sure (Or at least get a better guess if it is or not). The infinite loading was incredibly exasperating as you said. Initially I uninstalled the game in frustration because of them, then reinstalled it later because I couldn't help myself and things seemed better until I got the load problems again, but then the earlier save seems to have made things better again. Have you tried a new game yet? It's possible it's a problem with your existing saves?

Interesting note - my load times went from 30-90 seconds....to 2-3 min several days ago, and I was trying to figure out why, considering I had made no major changes to my mods or anything else. I had not seen this anywhere else, but when I saw Sirenapples post above about the Mysterious Serum, a lightbulb went off. Hey, I just got that in this game...a few days ago...when my load times went crazy... I chucked the serum on me. Load times just went back to what they were, 30-90 seconds. I have no idea why...but you seem to have hit on something here.

Khazakhan
Lol, tell me again how a sheep's bladder can be used to prevent earthquakes.Gotta love the Monty Python-esque logic in these forums ;P Is that an African or a European sheep's bladder? I'm well aware of how dumb this sounds! But the fact remains, if I have a vial of Mysterious Serum in my inventory, my load times almost double. I remove it, they go back. I've tested it thrice; with all other factors remaining equal.
tamercloud
I suspect it has something to do with bugged quests. I've had the infinate loading screen problem hardcore whenever I go to the city. I also have the mysterious serum in my inventory and it doesn't affect my game whatsoever. I think it has something to do with bugged quests. I created a file where you can use a bat command in the console to force complete all minutemen radiant quests. A curious thing about when I used the force complete command I got experience for some unknown reason. I think that there are certain "invisible" quests that float around in the void until you force them to complete. The only thing I've noticed since using my mod is that I don't get radiant minute men quests anymore. A good thing if you ask me. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10061/? After I used this command I noticed my game doesn't have the infinite loading screen as much. Today I haven't had any at all, which blows my mind. I also think that in the city it may do the infinite loading screen because there is just so much stuff to pack into one place and if your computer isn't super good it will fail on you. I haven't tried dumping some save files so maybe Ill try that next. Would have been nice is Bethesda addressed this glaring loading screen issue. The only thing I can say for certain is that the longer you play the game, the more unstable the game becomes. Small bugs you don't notice build up until it ruins your game. You just have to get rid of as many bugs as you can. Side note: I'm noticing more often than not I'm crashing on buildings directly related to the main quest. Could be a coincidence but who knows. If I fast travel I get an infinite loading screen. If I go into the basement to get the synths I get an infinite loading screen. RaffTheSweetling
I get them all the time. Could not even get into Goodneighbor through the front door the last time I played. I needed to COC into the Third Rail, save, quit game, reload, and then exit into the Goodneighbor worldspace, for it to let me play on. It really blows. Not sure why this problem occurs either.
