How do I upload someone's else saved file onto my game?

The title says it all I'm wondering once I download someone's saved game how do I put it in my game so I can play it

Depending on the OS you are using and how you have installed Oblivion it may be different but I dont have Oblivion on steam so IDK.

 

If you used the disk it is in:

C:\Documents and Settings\(USERNAME)\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves

 

You dump your saves in there, don't forget to check that you have the corresponding mods for that save.

If you just want the saved character, DO NOT LOAD THE SAVE YOU DOWNLOADED. Such saves can be modded, and if you do not have corresponding mods, the game may crash as soon as you load the save. Instead, you can copy and paste saved face to your save file. Wrye Bash, Face Exchange Lite, and Elder Facelift allows you to do that. However, if the saved character is from difference race than your character, transplanting face may not give good result. Edited May 4, 2011 by LFact
