zwampbob
I cant get any visual mods to work, like weather, textures, clothes or armor.. All other mods I tried works fine, but its mods you cant actually see, like increasing carry capacity, ammo, crafting, more materials and mods like that. So modding in itself is no problem, however, all visual mods I try fails! No texture enhancements works and when I try custom made armor and clothing my body turns invisible. Loading a CBBE body does´t do anything no matter what I do! It´s like Fallout 4 does´t want me to modify anything you can actually see! Please, anyone? Some bright ideas?? zwampbob
http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installationthank you, but I already know the basics of how to install mods.. Like I say All other mods are working fine! I have read everything I can found about the various different mods I cant get to work, including all kinds of different tutorial videos, like all the ones about CBBE. And to me it seems I´m doing it just right, but when I start it up and try on some downloaded piece of gear, I turn invisible... So apparently I´m not doing it right :/
wax2k
Thing is, all mods that provide custom textures, meshes and so on, NEED archive invalidation to be allowed. All mods that are only esm/esp based, don't need that setting and will work as long as they're in the plugins.txt. So not having the inis set up correctly is the most probable cause for your issue. Either that or the meshes textures and so on never got installed for some reason, though in that case you'd most probably suffer from CTDs and/or pink textures instead. If you upload your ini files I can tell you if they're configured correctly. Edited February 7, 2016 by wax2k

You're the best!Ok, so I didn´t do anything more yesterday, I just left the computer on and went to bed, and here is the crazy part.. Every single faulty mod from yesterday is running like clockwork today! Its almost just as frustrating as when it didnt work!! I dont know if it has something to do with the new fallout4custom.ini file or a patch or some random update but something happened during the night and now everything is running smoothly! "There´s ghosts in the machines!" Well whatever.. Its working now so cheers man and thank you for your help again!

zwampbob
I'm having the second issue help me pleassssseThe only thing I could think of with my files was that it must have been something weird with the .ini files. Check all three of them so they are modified correctly and make them read only. My fallout4custom.ini looks like this: [Display]iLocation X=0iLocation Y=0[Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal=
