The trend will likely continue as there is really only a few people who would want such a mod, and can barely do even basic scripting. Forget the whole needing models, or trying to make the effect actually do anything other than nighteye. Just smoke it in real life while you're playing, just as good. Just don't blame anyone except yourself when you realize how much of your life you waste on such things.

Peregrine
Ok, put down the weed and think for a second. Why would anyone want to put real-life drugs into a game that already has plenty of appropriate in-universe ones? Since the only value (and I use the term very loosely here) comes from the immature humor of "lolololol im smoking a joint in oblivion", the odds of anyone bothering to do it are essentially zero. Those of us who don't smoke it have much better things to do, and those of you who do smoke it are too high to understand complex scripting. My advice: if you haven't managed to kill off all your brain cells yet (and judging by your typing skills, you're well on your way to that lofty goal), put down the weed for a bit, learn scripting, and make it yourself. While I do agree that this is one of the more stupid things a modder could waste their time on, it is a common request, and there are people in the modding community who want mods with drugs for whatever reason. I believe this is what caused the handful of drug references in SI to be added (since skooma was toned down so much). At any rate, it would be impossible to produce any of the effects of being high within oblivion (nighteye and POV scripting doesn't cut it). That said, anyone who tries is a fool who is wasting their life (as I had said way back when...http://forum.gamingsource.net/index.php?sh...kooma&st=10). I think there was a multinational group who was attempting the same thing, and was looking for recruits awhile back. Don't think they got anything working too well. *For the record, I was wrong with the whole "If one person does one drug mod, someone else will do another". Apparently I had given those who were trying those mods too much credit. One person never made a good one, so there was nobody to copy and try to outdo. If it wasn't such a waste of time I would be tempted to take a crack at it just to prove myself right. (not really, enjoy the irony though)
SickleYield
Let's see. In the last few days we've had requests for sex and drugs in Oblivion. I guess it's only a matter of time before someone requests Steve Tyler and completes the triumvirate... ;D

But i agree that a weed mod would be a stupid novilty, and not worth wasteing time on.
Sypron
Just remember, If you do choose to smoke whilst playing in realy life, don't attempt to "Ressist Arrest" in real life when the cops come knocking.
FritzDerochebrune
Why ask weed if you can make coke with the existing ingredient models? :P Now I'm serious: why would you add a real-life drug in Oblivion? There are already many drugs: Fellmore, skooma, and another wich name I forgot. Have you ever been in the skooma den in Bravil? It is most fun to use that stuff there, with all other addicts. And if you really want some weed: come to the Netherlands, here that stuff is almost legal... o_O Cya Fritz
