celticparadox
Hey all I just downloaded the nexus mod manager for use with Fallout 4. I installed it as per the instructions however the game will not start now. It is a steam installation of Fallout 4. Basically what happens is I start Fallout via the mod manager and I get the usual Fallout start screen and then the game just cuts out and goes back to the desktop. I can;t find any specific info on why this might happen. Running with admin privileges does not change anything. So I uninstalled mod manager and even with that removed the game does the same thing. Any ideas?
wax2k
Crash on startup = most likely a wrong load order. Look for plugins shown in orange/red in the plugins tab of NMM and put them below their referenced master files. The reason why it crashes even after removal of NMM, is because the load order is stored in and loaded from your C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Fallout4\plugins.txt even without NMM.
