Make that unbindable 2 button bindable.

I've searched everywhere, but I can't find a simple mod that removes the permanent ammo switch bind on the 2 button so I can get my eight quick swap weapons back. If anyone knows if this has already been made, PLEASE point me into the right direction.

 

It's pretty straightforward, remove the permanent bind on 2 so you can bind it to a weapon.

The thing is is that the 2 key isn't a hotkey anymore. It's a standard assigned key that can be adjusted in the Options > Controls menu. So in New Vegas, by default, you only get 7 hotkeys, even if you move the ammo swap key to something other than 2.

 

With NVSE, you can probably achieve the 8th hotkey, though no one has uploaded such a thing as of yet. The best alternative, thus far, has been to move the hotkey assigned to '8' and move it to '2', as described here.
