NVSE: Load Game from NVSE GET PINK SCREEN

I had to reinstall both Steam and FNV and now when I start the game from either NVSE or from Steam I get a PINK SCREEN. Why?

Incidentally, I have nvse_1_beta10 installed.

Thank you.

Well, FYI:

I figured it out. The pink screen comes after changing the required .ini files with bInvalidateOlderFiles=1, SArchiveList and the bLoadFaceGenEGT yadda, yadda.

I don't suppose anyone knows why that is or is willing to comment?

Thanks.

Well, It seems to be working once again. The thing is I didn't do anything different than I have been doing since 3:30 this morning --tying to troubleshoot this problem. But, now suddenly there is no pink screen. However, I will not hold my breathe in wild anticipation that everything is going to work properly now. Thanks for your time.

Well, goddamn it, I was premature in thinking I had everything working. What a damn nightmare --just to play a game!?!

I got the pink screen of death before. I didn't do a re-install of steam though, that wasn't necessary as my other games worked fine. I just backed up all my mods and reinstalled NV. After that i just put back all my mods, reinstalled NVSE and GECK and it worked again. I think i got the pink screen due to changing the game setting in FOMM because that's the only thing i did before the pink screen got me. Did you happen to change any graphics settings in FOMM and have you tried launching without NVSE just to see if it will load? Edited by EvilDeadAsh34

I have been working on it all day long. Now it seems that after putting back all of the mods I have been using in the past--that worked just fine together-- There seems to be a conflict with Lings and Veronica's mods affecting Easy Pete in Good Springs. If I just un-check them Easy Pete returns to normal. However. my PC loses here hairstyle. Yes, the game will load without NVSE, however, leaving the aforementioned mods checked will still surround Easy Pete with that goddamn diamond and exclamation mark. I have never seen that before --where it affects only one particular NPC. No one else in the saloon is affected by it. At this point I am so frustrated that I am extremely short tempered: and, I apologize.

No need to apologize. I understand. I've been having my own frustrations/want to bash my head through the wall moments going on with NV lately.

Hmm, the diamonds (as you most likely know) are missing meshes. My only suggestion is to reinstall the meshes associated with the mod (lings?) that affects Easy Pete. Other than that maybe it's a load order problem. I'm pretty sure lings suggests a certain spot in the load order. If you did those things already then i'm clueless. Sorry if i'm not helping.

Oops, i forgot to ask and just assumed. Did you also change Easy Pete with Lings in any way? Anyway, i just want to be clear so i can give you more potentially useless help. :P

I just got done reinstalling FNV. The only mods installed were Lings and V_Veronica and the VeronicaFixer; left Doc's place and sure enough Easy Pete still had the diamond and the exclamation. Now, in the past, I have always installed Lings mod via the FOMM package manager, but never had this problem before doing it that way? Incidentally, Ling is just an .esm. I just reinstalled it manually and there was no change.

As for Easy Pete I wouldn't know how to change him. All I am doing is installing mods. Now, I know that Veronica's mods require Lings .esm, as do many other of the companion mods that I use. Right now they are they only three mods attached. The only other mod that I currently have installed is BOG_Body_Replacer_FOMOD_by_sedaleare2_0-34702..

Can I claim old age senility? I have spent countless hours today tying to troubleshoot the aforementioned problem, when all I had to do was read the damn readme file —to learn that I had to install Lings FO3 version first, followed the .esm for FNV. Now, Easy Pete is back to normal.:wallbash:

Thanks for jarring what little grey matter I have left.
