remove the prisoners outfit during character creation?

yeah I'm a bit new both to skyrim and mods.

However, I just installed what I think is called race menu to get more options during character creation.

The problem I have is that my character is bound and wearing the prisoners outfit during the character creation sequence which makes it impossible to to see many of the modification you make.

So I was wondering if it is possible to remove the outfit during character creation?

OR if it is possible to restart the character creation once you are out of the scripted tutorial start?

I don't know of any mod that currently removes the outfit, probably because it is easily resolved using the console commands:

1) Press the 'tilde' key ( ` button normally to the top left of standard keyboard)

2) type: showracemenu

3) Press tilde again to remove the CC

This reopens the character creation screen so you can make your character as best as you can at first, then do this afterwards to go back and make revisions

Hope this helps :)

To move the clothes you have to create your player and when you get in to the Helgen keep he cuts the binds off just go in to your options and take clothes off. To get the creation click the key under Esc this opens a window bottom of the screen type in that window showracemenu click enter your now back in race menu and to close the window just click same key you did to open. this key ¬

Right, the command console worked to redo the character creation later.

Though I found another problem.

Several sliders on the race menu only affects a clothed model. If you remove the clothes the model's body seems to revert to a standard default but when clothed the changes appear again.

How do you make it so that the sliders affects both clothed and unclothed models?

I'm no expert, but it sounds like the clothing you're equipping is meant for a different body mod to that which you're using (or vanilla if not)

Do you have any body mod installed (CBBE etc?). If so make sure that the clothing/armor you're equipping is meant for that particular body.

But how come racemenu doesn't work when you are naked? Remove clothes, no body sliders work. Add clothes and they do.

The weird thing is that I managed to get them to work yesterday. Then I reinstalled everything today to get rid on anything left over from unused mods and now they don't work again.

It always struck me as odd how some of the prisoners were dressed. The Stormcloaks were all wearing their uniforms. Ulfric was wearing his signature attire. But the horse thief and you wearing the kinds of clothes you would expect a beggar to be wearing. (And is in fact worn by the several beggars you encounter across Skyrim.) The horse thief wearing such garb is a maybe. But you? You are told that you were captured while crossing the border from Cyrodiil. Not exactly dressing for the colder weather, were you? And by what stretch of insanity would make a Cyrodiil pauper think that the opportunities available to him would be greater in Skyrim than in Cyrodiil?

The only other alternative is to assume is that the Imperials decided to strip the non-Stormcloaks of whatever they had been wearing and then made them don beggar's clothing. And for the life of me, I can think of NO reason why they would do that.
