Rohan118
I've searched the heck out of this, but can't find an answer to this problem. Neither I, nor NPCs can sit down. In the taverns, you can see NPCs standing up with their legs stuck inside of stools and benches. It's obvious they were intended to be seated. When I try to sit down, the game doesn't show it, although it seems to recognize that I've sat down. After several google searches, it looks like some people got this after doing the Knights of the Nine quest. But I haven't done that quest. Also, it affects NPCs too, not just me. Unfortunately, it's extremely hard to pin down exactly where the problem is. It happened just after I installed the Unofficial patch and it's supplements, used Tes4edit to remove duplicate records, then ran BOSS and Wrye Bash. Any ideas? Fonger
traditionally this is a bug introduced by KOTN (official DLC) and it is fixed by the unofficial official mods patch -- a mod that is designed to be applied not re-edited by tes4edit so this becomes the source of your problem you added steps to a straight forward install

I haven't done KOTN yet, and also it's affecting all NPCs as well. Anyway, I installed the unofficial mods patch, and it made a patch for Knights, but the problem remains. Telyn
Are you by any chance using a pose or idles mod that might be based on PersonalityIdles? If so, cleaning those mods breaks some vanilla animations. Sitting is one of them. They are on the do not clean list.

But good news ~ After I leveled up, the problem fixed itself, so I'm OK now. Scratches head.... Edit: Then later it comes back again. This game is driving me nuts. I don't even run that many mods.
