Nonmodded graphical issu

Objects sometimes have strange colored textures. Images below show just them on a weapon, though this happens to lots of other things till i get close enough. Its not always just random. If someone knows if this is due to a setting and can tell me which, id be grateful. I play max settings with no texture mods.

This is the distance from the item/object it looks normal then weird as i get further away.

Did you ever have any mods installed? If so, make sure you don't have any leftovers in

\%installpath%\Fallout 4\data

It should only contain:

If that's the case, it's probably a graphics card issue (game settings / driver settings / driver version / hardware). I've seen a lot of different issues reported especially with AMD Radeon cards. You could try reverting to the latest stable retail driver and set everything to default in the graphics card settings.

Deleting your various Fallout ini files and verifying the game cache in Steam to get back the default ones is also worth a try.

The advice still holds true... uninstall those 2 mods and then see if there are any custom leftovers which could be responsible.

This was the first thing done, no topic would have been made if this was as simple as a leftover file. He check all files and verified file integrity. I searched Forums/internet for an issue like this and didn't find any. I don't know if this could be due to a setting in the ini's, could it be?

Possible, hence why I posted the last advice.

I'm not sure if you misunderstood, but this was happening with vanilla fallout 4 from day one. It starts after about one or two hours of playing, even after fresh install. The mods were added long after I got use to the issue in the screenshots. I only made this topic because it's seeming more frequent now. I mostly see it an issue with, wood, tires, and guns. Sometimes there are no textures at all, meaning object are left invisible(Character models being the most frequent).

In that case refer to the second advice.

Your posts are appreciated, but bare bones as far as advice. He post that he was looking for which settings could/would cause this. If your not sure then please allow someone who is to explain, Instead of telling him it could be what he already knows it most likely is, which is why he asked for a known setting that would cause this. Thank you for trying to help Wax2k :)

Well, since he didn't provide ANY information on what he already knew, checked, tried and ruled out... what exactly did you expect? Do you have any idea how frustrating it can be, when trying to help someone and then having to drag every piece of valuable information from their nose? And in the end you get the answer "I already know and did everything you proposed"? Well sh*t Sherlock! Next time tell me BEFORE I waste my time on you!

Good luck on your quest to find the one who knows the "color my stuff like rainbows"-setting.
