Aethozoid
I did Google search after Google search, and either the forum I found had no answer, or the answer didn't work for me. I've also searched for my problem here on the Nexus Forums, as well, with no luck. The problem is that some (but not all) of the food items with Realistic Needs and Diseases installed don't reduce hunger. Some of my installed mods that might be important in relation to RND would be Realistic Wildlife Loot and Recipes, SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators, Immersive Creatures, and Better Sorting. I don't think Better Sorting is causing the problem because it's both placed above all of the RND mods and I opted out of the changes to the food it makes. I've tried fixing the problem by setting all the RND mods to be placed below Frostfall and all of my mods relating to Immersive Creatures (though I don't think SIC changes food items or drops at all), but I'm still getting food that don't seem to be affected by RND like they should. I believe that I have all the available patches for RND, such as the ones for the DLCs, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn, as well as ones for my other mods, like Pure Waters and USKP, as they're all listed in my load order, all below the main .esp file. One little not that I think I should mention is that on the Realistic Wildlife Loot and Recipes mod page on the Nexus, it implies that it is compatible with Realistic Needs and Diseases through the 'RND_PatchPack' that's listed in RND's files, but that Patch Pack on the RND page doesn't list RWLaR as a covered mod. Because of this, I didn't install the Patch Pack. Here's a list of all of the foods in the cooking menu that don't have their proper RND effect as they should, along with their effects: Bear Roast (+25 HP/s for 5s)Bear Roast, Marinated (+7 HP/s for 8s, +2 HP/s for 60s, +5 maxHP for 60s)Bear Sausage (+8 HP/s for 3s, +5 SP for 4s)Cabbage Soup (+10 HP, +8 SP)(x2) Cooked Boar Meat (+12 HP)Elk Venison Chop (+1 HP/s for 5s, +1 MP/s for 5s, +1 SP/s for 5s)Elk Venison Stew (+15 SP, +1 HP/s for 720s, +1 SP/s for 720s)Garlic Dog Ribs (+15 maxSP for 240s)Goat Steak (+3 HP/s for 5s)Grilled Chicken Breast (+5 HP)Grilled Fox Meat (+2 HP/s for 10s)Horker and Ash Yam Stew (+16 HP, +12 SP)Horse Haunch (+10 HP)Mammoth Steak (+10 HP)Marinated Mammoth Steak (+100 HP)Mudcrab and Clam Chowder (+2 SP/s for 360s)Pheasant Roast (+5 HP)Rabbit Sandwich (+2 HP/s for 120s, +2 HP/s for 12s)Sabre Cat Roast (+15 maxHP for 240s)Skeever Stew (+1 HP/s for 60s, +10 HP, -10% SP regen for 10s)Spicy Sabre Cat Stew (+30% fire dmg resist for 120s, -30% fire dmg resist on target for 5s)Venison Chop (+5 HP)Wolf Roast (+15 HP, +30 SP) It's really aggravating because many of the food items that don't work with RND are very common, like the Venison Chop and Wolf Roast, so most of the meat that I find isn't going to be useful in depleting my hunger. archtrtd1
I checked out the "Realistic Wildlife Loot and Recipes" mod page. The third post down in the comments section actually asks about the RND/Realistic Wildlife patch. One of the replies to that post states that "The author of RND said they wouldn't be updating the patch for RWL anymore." So you may be out of luck finding a pre-made patch that will work for both mods. You can try to make your own patch with TES5Edit - you will only be able to patch the overlapping ingredients/recipes using this method. You will probably have to use the Creation Kit to make the "Realistic Wildlife Loot and Recipes" newly added recipes/food types have the same effects as the RND food types. Ondrea
Any mods that add or modify food won't be recognized by RND without a patch and all those foods you listed were added or modified. The Wolf Roast isn't common to the vanilla game and while the Venison Chop is vanilla, they have modified it. Looking at the files included in the main RND download, I see an optional patch there for a file called Animal Loot. Do you have that one? If not, try re-running the RND installer. Or download it manually and add in that animal loot esp to your data folder. If that doesn't work, you can try this RND Universal Patch. I've always used Hunterborn with RND, and they have their own built-in patch to make the food compatible. It's an alternative to the mod you're using you can try. Also, if you wanted to try iNeed instead, it will detect all food and drinks without patches. Just some other options for you.

Just some other options for you. After reading the first part of your post, I looked for the Animal Loot patch and I indeed had it. While looking through my LOOT list, however, I found that my RND files weren't below some Realistic Wildlife Loot files, which I felt kind of silly not noticing them until now. I made my RND files load after them, but that didn't seem to change anything. Having gone back to read the rest of your post, I had never heard of the RND Universal Patch before. Honestly, I already Google searched for 'Realistic Needs and Diseases patch,' and nothing like that ever came up. I installed that, and while not quite all of the recipes restore hunger or thirst, it did fix most of them! The Venison Chop was fixed, and I feel almost that alone is good enough for me. There are a few other apparent discrepancies between mods, like how the Wolf Roast requires Raw Wolf Meat while I have Wolf Meat in my inventory that is indeed raw but doesn't appear to work for the recipe, but at the same time, there's another recipe that calls for Wolf Meat, which works. I might look into Hunterborn to fix that (although I don't use Hunterborn because it changes Leather so that I can't use it in recipes), but I think I can simply deal with small issues like that for now. I've been using RND for a previous install without issues like this, so I guess I've become stubborn, which is why haven't looked at iNeed at all. I didn't know that it didn't require any patches... I might just look into that after all. In any case, I think my problem has been solved. Many thanks!
Ondrea
You know, after looking at the RND page, it appears that optional animal loot esp is for RND itself to drop animal meats and have recipes for them, not for Realistic Wildlife Loot. So what's happening is you're having two mods adding animal meat with recipes for both of them. But probably whichever is lower in your order is the only one providing meat and you won't be able to use it in the recipes for the other mod. If you want to keep Realistic Animal Loot and use their recipes, you probably don't need the RND animal loot esp.

TurtleTime951
FOUND EASY SOLUTION! If there is any way to stick this to the top of the post PLEASE DO SO. I've been searching for so long on how to get RND to recognize some of the Hunterborn meats and I FINALLY figured out how to get it to work and I feel so dumb for not trying this sooner. Ready? Load Hunterborn before RND... thats it. That was the fix I was searching for for months but couldn't find the answer to on so many forums and posts. After trying every patch known to man and then just messing with my load order randomly to fix some performance drops, this was the solution. It appears that Hunterborn meats need to be loaded first so that RND can modify them correctly to work with the new foods and recipes. For some reason Vortex will load it after RND automatically. I don't know if other MOs do this as well but it could very well be the problem that most people are having. I might try removing some of the patches to see just how much built in compatibility there is (I doubt it will be much but who knows). I sincerely hope this helps people. As someone who doesn't feel comfortable messing with the actual scripts and making my own patches, this would have been so nice to find when I was first starting to run into this issue. Have a great day!
