Pic linked below: http://imgur.com/FFmq377halped myself. Its problem with 3ds Max occasionally not exporting Vertex colors correctly. (Or I just did it wrong the first time/ loaded a previous build and forgot to redo... etc.)If you shiny new mesh is all... shiny and black, but you can see the dark lines of the texture under it.... vertex colors are your problem most likely.
