Mod Requests

I was wondering if someone could make a few things for FNV

 

One was something like the 9mm pistol scope mod, but for the .22 silenced ruger pistol, also if there could be a mod that buffs its damage just a little.

 

If someone could make a version of the Enclave officer's hat, but with no emblem on it, and the same stats as Boone's Beret.

 

Lastly, if anyone could make almost like a unique version of the Recharger Rifle, such as giving boosted damage and ammo cap. Or even just a weapon mod that boosts damage. It's such a cool weapon in game, but utterly useless compared to the recharger pistol.

okay a few things, I pretty sure WMX would have a scoped mod available for the silenced 22 as for buffing the damage, and the recharger rifle both can be done in the geck with minimal effort. The enclave hat is a simple retexture that can be done in Gimp there are numerous tutorials and youtube videos for all of the info you might need. If you're worried about getting into modding the Geck and retextures are definitely the best places to start both have a lot of tutorials and people willing to help.

Gimp is a free image editing software basically paint on steroids very useful for editing textures, the whole recharger rifle thing can be fixed in the geck just open up the entry for the recharger rifle and where it says damage that where you change it that way you get the damage you want and still keep the vanilla texture.

 

Now for the hardest item I personally don't know how to edit/splice together meshes which is what would most likely have to be done if you want a scoped 22. If you don't really care if the gun model needs the silencer what you can do is use the mod manager to open up the fallout nv bsa's and search for the mesh of the scoped 9mm pistol extract that and put it in your data folder under meshes create a new folder if you have to.

the next step is to open up the geck and look for the silenced 22 under weapons go to the art and sound tab and click on where it says model then click to open up a new model and search for the one you extracted. Finally go to the tab where it says 1st person model and select none this will keep the 3rd person and 1st person models from being different. After that your done, just make sure to create a new id for the weapon and place it somewhere in the world.
