zarniwooop
I have to admit I'm disappointed once again in the directions taken by the developers in some gameplay areas. Instead of whining about it, I got to thinking about the mods I'd need to make or incorporate in my game in order to make it more of what I want. The list is something like this: - Bring back the primary skills, or the Primary/Secondary, or even the Primary/Major/Minor system of leveling.- The above means fixing the new character creation system.- Bring back birth signs.- Completely overhaul the spell system to at least be no worse than Oblivion.- Hopefully, someone with great skills will do a mages guild that can match something like the lost spires type of quality.- Remove the level scaling of dungeons with some overhaul.- Remove the finishing moves- Completely redo the console UI for something PC appropriate- Add in the rendering functions that weren't put in because it was developed for consoles There's more, but those were the ones that leapt off the page at me. I'm curious what other people are looking forward to in terms of mods. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A RANT OR INTENDED TO INDUCE FLAMES. I'm honestly curious what mods others are planning on or what other people are already thinking about needing fixed for the PC. It's just a fact of life that TES games have needed modded to be playable ever since Morrowind and get more so every iteration. I'm simply curious what things other people find most important. skullsy
Graphics mods and mods that add in content from the Lord of the Rings, like the witch kings armor and sword, and maybe even a *gasp* fell beast.
DeathWarrior
If Jojjo's Frostmourne and Lich King armor mod aren't ported to Skyrim then I'm doing so for my own personal use, that mod MUST be in Skyrim. Also, a mod adding more hairs like Ren's would be appreciated, to make my character look more barbarian/warrior-like (like my Oblivion character). Sorry but I don't see how Ren's hair would make any character "look more barbarian/warrior-like". I'm not bashing Ren's mod because it is an amazing mod that helped start all the various hairstyles modding trend for Oblivion, but all of Ren's hairstyles are very anime like and do not have that Conan barbarian look. To the OP:What do you mean by taking out the finishing moves? Vanilla Oblivion had no finishing moves in the first place and if Skyrim was to have any finishing moves, that would be awesome considering how amazing Deadly Reflex was in changing Oblivion's boring old combat system. ub3rman123
So basically you want to make Skyrim exactly like Cyrodiil, minus 20 degrees or so? I think I'll give the game a chance before I judge it and dive for the CS.
razorpony
I kind of agree that things need to be playtested before everyone gets up in arms about the changes that will be made. If the perk system is done well then maybe the attribute/skill changes won't be so bad. I'm sure Darn will be there to rescue our eyeballs with a better interface and I for one am looking forward to trying out the finishing moves. The dungeon scaling should be an easy fix. As far as mages guild... I'm pretty sure it's disbanded. Maybe there will be Synod/College of whispers quests or maybe the GreyBeards will fill in that role. Who knows? It's still pretty early to speculate. Razorpony
hejpadig
Why don't you just return to Oblivion, mate?
Kaskas
¿What kind of overhauls do you ask for? Asking ASAP for Overhauls it's somewhere near asking ASAP for total mods, those things require time. If Jojjo's Frostmourne and Lich King armor mod aren't ported to Skyrim then I'm doing so for my own personal use, that mod MUST be in Skyrim. I used one of the Ren's hair to make a character look more like Thulsa Doom from the Conan the Barbarian film, most of Rens are too anime like, but some of them can be used for other means, and there was no Vanilla hair style for that. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_uAgLSM9VhDY/TSH4OKLQ55I/AAAAAAAAAFo/BVhYSbwG5xc/s1600/thulsa.jpg
WezEllison
I'm just going to playthrough the game a few times without mods, try get through most of the features of the game. You shouldn't really be deciding on what mods you'd want seeing as you've not even played it yet.
