Gishank
I installed Honest Hearts this morning and after a while of fiff-faffing about deciding on what gear I should bring due to the weight limit I finally decided to 'head out'. However unfortuently right as it fades out and attempts to load it crashes to the desktop with no obvious reason as to why. I've attempted reinstalling it and I only have a single mod active (Underground Hideout), both Honest hearts and Dead Money have priority in the load order too.. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to resolve the issue?
Gishank
Ignore this thread, oddly - and I don't know how, the issue resolved itself.
svibanj
Honest Hearts crashed on me too today, right on the start as I´ve tried to start it. Is there any patch or an update to fix this problem?
stargazer093
Got the same problem except it doesn`t solve itself...anyone got an idea?
SDG71
Got the same problem except it doesn`t solve itself...anyone got an idea? Same here... did everything that was suggested in the official Fallout forum: delete ini-files, veryfy integrity of game cache, disable all fomm-mods, even did a complete reinstall of the game... nothing works, HH always crashes right after the intro movie. BillHoff
I'm with Stranger. I get into the NW passage, met the weight limit, lets go. You have to sit through the movie, can't bypass or speed it up, a few seconds after you get to, where, Zion Valley, or whatever, lockup and Crash. The second time I managed a save before the crash, but a reload crashes in seconds. I verified integrity, andit down loaded one file. Restart, crash. I've disabled half of my mods, but this doesn't feel like a mod conflict. Sure would be nice if software as buggy as this had some kind of log file at crash that would give me clue as to why. jhutt58
I have the exact same problem , and still no solution for solving it yet. This is getting frustrating , to say the least.
dthumb
Might be a problem with your load order guys. Place official dlcs directly below FalloutNV.esm. If that's not the case, maybe a mod conflict. Also I had problems before with the d3d9 fix, game crashes during/after movie clips (endgame movie for example). If you have that, remove it and test it out. ginnyfizz
Since Honest Hearts I cannot play. The game launches and goes through the first couple of title screens, but when it gets to the screen with the guy in the mask where you normally choose to load game, continue or start new game, there is no writing on screen at all, no options to select. Allowing Steam to "verify Integrity of cache" resulted in it replacing 2 files and that fixed it. It appears that even looking at the files in FNVEdit results in some kind of change that screws up the game.I ran FNVEdit looking for conflicts right after my initial download of Honest Hearts. After the crashes I did the "verify integrity" thing in Steam and it replaced 1 file. I hadn't made any changes so I don't know why one had to be replaced, but it didn't last long. Maybe I'll do that again, see if a file is still messed up...
