Adding a description to an item?

In the FO4edit I see a description box, but any description I enter doesn't appear, I've looked at other references from items to see how they did it, but the description boxes are blank. Any help?

are you trying to edit a vanilla record? Did you copy it over as an override into a new plug-in.

I copied it over as a new plug-in.

right click on the description field and click edit or you can double click the field to enable text editing.

Is the item you are trying to add description to a weapon mod, consumable or something else?

Armor I believe.

you only see that at the crafting table, if you make a recipe to craft it, youll see your description under the ingredients, not in your pip-boy

Oh, alright, thanks, is there any way to make a description visible like Grognak the Barbarians?
