In terms of humanity, where are we headed?

In my opinion, we are heading to a dystopia (if we are not already in one). Gas is running out, food prices are skyrocketing, America is going bankrupt, corporations running the goverment and federal banks, and sadly quite a bit of the population in the states could not care less as long as it does not mess with their status quo.

What's scary is it HAS messed with the status quo. Those with the money have more than they used to, those that didn't, have even less now. The gap between rich, and poor, grows ever wider, yet the american people keep voting the same guys back into power, because they think they will 'make it better' this time.

Doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results EACH TIME, is the very definition of insanity. America is just one great big asylum, and the inmates are in charge.

We are heading down the tubes, the water is swirling, the tank is near empty, just a short time before we finally make it past the trap, and head down the drain, never to be heard from again.

It has messed with the status qou, but people don't know it because of advertising and propaganda. They don't want to admit things are bad, and simply keep doing what they do.

Its not just with voting, people honestly think things are fine. They can't seem to look into the past or future, and just focus on the present. All they can focus on is their job and taking care of their family.

For those that have a job...... unemployment edged up last month..... folks are not as 'job mobile' either. Not many people leaving their current position, to go to a new one, as there just AREN'T any new ones to move TO. That's only gonna get worse.

The american sheep, erm.... people, aren't gonna do squat until our economy takes another serious crash, which I see coming anyway.

Something really bad has to happen for people to realize its bad. If its just a few deaths of people they don't know, or a few trillion dollars being stolen from other people, they don't care.

The the greatest points in history arose out of bad things after all, maybe we do need another serious crash for people to finally wake up.
