LadyAubrie
I had no idea what to search for so I posted...if this has been covered in detail somewhere else, I'd be really thankful for a nudge in the right direction.... I love my house...it's cozy but it's a little lonely. I downloaded Mr. Siika's Rabbits, used it to make one of my own, and plopped it down in my house, right next to the hearth. I moved the mesh and texture for my bunny into the meshes and textures directories for my player house, and saved. But...where's the bunny? She didn't show up! I added the same bunny in a mod of my own, using my own .esp as the active file instead of my house's. Nope, not there either. I'd plopped my bunny in a store in the IC Market District...and seeing as it was a vanilla interior, she showed up there. Could someone kindly explain why modded items (creatures, clutter) with custom textures don't show up in mods...but vanilla textures do? And why the same custom mods show up in vanilla locations, but not in modded .esp's? (Or even point me toward where it might be explained fully?) Is it an issue of merging .esp's in Wrye Bash or something? :) Edited May 21, 2011 by LadyAubrie
Bloodplague
this is something I have been wondering for along time also, any help would be great
HeyYou
You cannot have an esp file (a mod....) dependent on another esp file. Have a look at the De-Isolation tutorial.
LadyAubrie
Just what I was looking for...:) I'm still reading and trying to digest the article, but I'm looking forward to trying this on Wrye Bash later. Preemptive kudos given! :)
