CTD or freeze at start.

So I have completely new fallout 4 installation.

Modding it with NMM and With Loot.

 

Issue is that it crashes or freezes at start, I have been looking through 10 tips, but it doesnt really solve my issues.

Or maybe I am just too thick skulled.. always possible

So here is the load order.

Also loot complains something about Plugins.txt, that It cannot write.

So it seems that NMM causes this crashing.

I am not sure yet how to repair this issue.

 

Tried re installing NMM, did not help.

Try to turn of homemaker, than one made my game crash!

Did you install and test each mod separately or install them all at once before testing. Because that's the path

So yeah. It works now.

The problem was with Net Framework. It needed.. repairing and after that the issue was 71 47 SkibsWH77LSW.esp

72 48 SkibsWH77LSW-LOADS.esp.

Also it seems to work best in windowed mode.

Anyway. Now I can play YES!

Wait .. no.

Now I have Major Glitching right at the start of character creation.

I already tried turning off all plugins and graphic mods. Didn't help.

Tried verifying cache as well..Ideas?

Tried disabling all mods, deleting mod files from directories, verifying game cache.

Still getting glitching.

That will be next. It just sucks to download it again from steam, since it takes around 7-8 hours for me (country side internet).

Or is there way after downloading it from steam, to put it on some external hard drive or so? ( This would make life much easier, so I would not need to download it always all over again).

Yeah, once you've downloaded a fresh install, just copy the file from steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4 onto a separate drive. Then when you inevitably have to delete/reinstall do the following:

delete.

Manually check everything is deleted from games/documents/etc.

Copy from storage drive to primary steam install directory.

Install on steam. It'll rebuild the fringes, verify data integrity, and you'll be good to go.

And you'll still have a copy that is safe!

So it seems that this is not about mods. or anything like that.

I have completely fresh install of game, no mods, nothing. And There is huge glitching textures going all around the places.
