Deleted21304489User
I didn't really know where to post this question, so i'm doing it here... since it may be considered Newbish, or help Newbies. I posted an image of my girl for FO3 on the Nexus and checked the box that asked if the image contained Adult Only Content. Then submitted the image for posting. The Next day the imaged was removed because of Nudity. I don't get it? What's the purpose of the Adult Only Content check box... if it's going to get yanked for nudity any way? That just doesn't make sense and actually, this could have gotten me banned, so I guess I'm lucky. It's rather confusing, because if you go to where you post images, below the check box asking if there is Adult Only Content... there is a long statement, stating that no nudity is allowed... so again, why the Adult Only Check box then? If nudity is not considered the Nexus definition of Adult Content, then what is. I'm confused here. I know when I became a supporter, there was access granted to me for adult themed material. So I know nudity is not totally forbidden on the Nexus. BTW: the nudity in question was just a butt crack shot. Nothing any more shocking than what you see in a 1970's copper tone commercial. Heh If anyone has the answers, I'd appreciate a heads up. Otherwise, I'll just keep my images to myself. I got Steam for that and they get more attention there. Speaking of which... the image in question is public on Steam and hasn't been yanked down. Meh... Oh yeah and FYI: It's kind of hypocritical when I go to the main Nexus page and there is a mod newly uploaded with an image of an erect male penis staring me in the face and for all to see. Just sayin.
Oubliette
Please read the rules properly. Image Share terms and rulesThe public image share section is dedicated to sharing screenshots taken in the game featured on the file site that hosts the images, or other images related to that game (e.g. concept drawings of mods being worked on, artistic drawings, etc.).No unrelated content, no political content, no religious contentThe Image Share is not the place to share portraits, family photos, pet images or any other images not related to the featured game. Do not upload images that convey messages related to real world politics or real world religions or include symbols normally associated with active or defunct political parties, religions or movements, in such a way that the image can be interpreted as an attempt to promote their agenda. No photos of real persons as part of a compositionUnless you have permission or you can prove that it is in the public domain images featuring pictures of living or deceased persons as part of the composition should not be uploaded (e.g. a deck of playing cards with celebrity images). No nudity Images showing nudity are absolutely prohibited in the normal image share. This rule is applicable to images showing full frontal/rear nudity and partial nudity (uncovered breasts, genitals, buttocks), pictures showing characters wearing extremely revealing outfits (transparent, semi-transparent dresses, string bikinis, micro-bikinis, clothes that leave sensitive areas or pubic hair visible). Rear-view images of topless female characters are tolerated as long as they are tagged as adult and the pose does not expose a full or partial side view of the breasts. Using patches/pasties/butterflies to cover up non-permissible body parts or images showing characters using their hands to cover up otherwise naked body parts are also not acceptable. Environmental objects (e.g. shrubberies) can be used as long as the 'sensitive' areas are sufficiently covered (the same as the cover a standard bikini would offer).Non-human/beast races that normally wear clothes or are assumed to wear clothes in the in-game world are considered nude if they are not dressed in the uploaded image the same way that a human would be considered nude or inadequately dressed. To better describe our idea of what images are acceptable in our public Image Share sections (on all Nexus sites) we have created a mock-up of a humanoid body with clearly defined acceptable and unacceptable skin exposure boundaries that can be found here. A snipit from the rules, highlighted section that seemed most relevant. Adult content in the regular imageshare would extend to forms of extreme violence and gore which is culturally sometimes considered far more adult than naked bodies. But the first sentence is very clear - no nudity in the regular image share. That means none. Zip. Zero. Nadda. TheVampireDante
Nudity is not allowed in the general imageshare at all - there is a information box on the image upload page in acknowledgement to this fact. The adult content check box is for other material that would require an adult rating - excessive gore, violence, profanity. Content like that. Here is exactly what it says: NO NUDITY ALLOWEDDo not post any images of nudity including breasts, genitalia, buttocks or characters that are wearing so little that they might as well be naked (like 1 pixel wide thongs that cover nothing up).If you do not heed this warning it is very likely you will be banned. The relevant imageshare regulations are here: No nudity Images showing nudity are absolutely prohibited in the normal image share. This section has more relaxed rules, especially in regards to nudity. In order to access the Supporters Image Share section you will need to either be a Supporter or Premium Member.Mature content other than nudityImages showing gore, extreme violence, skimpy outfits and any other subjects that would be frowned upon in a conservative working environment or on a family friendly beach should be tagged as Adult. You should note that tagging an image as Adult does not exempt you from the no-nudity rule on Nexus, the term adult means: content, other than nudity, that is not safe for work/not safe for minors. As for your last line. Oh yeah and FYI: It's kind of hypocritical when I go to the main Nexus page and there is a mod newly uploaded with an image of an erect male penis staring me in the face and for all to see. Just sayin. If you have adult content enabled, then of course you are going to see adult material. If you have the adult filter blocking such content and you still see something like that - then report it so we can correct the oversight.
SliverMulti
Easily put: If you don't like it, turn off all Nudity Options / Adult Options in your Preferences. Then make sure you're not ticking the Nudity Options on the right when searching. If you don't, don't cry to everyone else about it. Be an adult & handle your personalside of things. If you're not an Adult, quit trying to act as one & looking.
Deleted21304489User
@SliverMulti - Clarification as to what I was asking has already been posted. Your comments have nothing to add and to be quite honest, you misunderstood my entire post. I don't have a problem with adult content at all. That is not the issue here. Quite frankly all I'm getting from you is a personal attack that is completely unwarranted. You are definately not the kind of person that should be posting on this forum to help so called Newbies. That much is certain. I recommend that you read over the posting guidelines on here, before you find yourself banned from the forums. Just a suggestion. To everyone else... thank you for your help in this matter.

To everyone else... thank you for your help in this matter. As a matter of fact, if you read all of the posts on here regarding the initial post, it's all been pretty much summed up the same way by the Admins. If you do not like how I worded it, my apologies to you. However, to some of the others commenting, my apologies don't necessarily stand towards them. Some of the others that were siding with the initial post, but had more "cry-baby" ways of wording things, should look into their preferences, before discussing as they have. And if I were to get banned over this conversation, then other people should grow up before given any sort of "power".I didn't direct my words specifically towards you, as the poster ... or I would've made sure to tag you. But there were plenty of others that should read the other posts prior to mine. And actually ... this conversation has gone on on another forum line for quite some time.http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3835465-nexus-or-sexus-this-is-the-problem/ Edited February 26, 2016 by SliverMulti
KunoMochi
@SliverMulti, ejroberts49 wasn't inquiring about searching for adult content, but about why the content he uploaded was removed. Oub and Dante answered him on that already.
