PhoenixKnight13
I wasn't able to find anything like this already posted in requests or available mods, so here goes! I'd like to see some settlement items added to make shooting galleries and firing ranges for immersive target practice shenanigans. I know what you're all thinking, "F*** yeah!" Right?! Potential items and functionality off the top of my head : A variety of backstops and bullet traps such as dirt mounds, stacked tires, and indoor setups to place targets in front of; the currently available walls/fences just lack that immersive feel lol. Various target styles/types with images, bullseyes, scored rings, melons with head-like 'gore' physics to produce exploding animations (please god?!), etc. I know there are mobster standups and placing cans always works, but yeah. Hell even some additional exploding or likewise-interactive target options like carnival spinners or popular characters from comics/games/movies would be spiffy. Hanging setups with interactive lines (like you'd see at indoor ranges, press the 'big red button' and the target is ferried to/from the end of the range so you can replace the paper) Lateral-motion setups like you'd see at indoor ranges and carnivals; where the targets move side to side on a belt or hanging line, or continually move in one direction via a belt loop contraption. Complete with a variable speed control button your character can press to cycle through speeds (pretty please? lol). Various structure types such as barricades, counters, enclosures, and dividers for making both indoor and outdoor styled rows (to give them that 'booth' look). Styled target stands for things like cans/bottles that don't move on collision. i.e. sawhorses and construction barricades like the ones already available that you can actually place items on using workbench mode but don't fall over when you run into them. Another one for the immersion lovers; audio files to accompany interactive alarms and bullhorn type thingies. e.g. warning not to walk downrange while firing is in progress, or klaxons that announce the ok to fire, etc. Various themes for different use, e.g. sniping, handguns, automatic, and heavy weapons (obviously you wouldn't use a handgun range to fire a minigun, you get the idea). Wik - Ideas are welcome... I'd love to set up some shooting galleries if anyone's interested in taking up this project. I realize it's pretty extensive, but think how *awesome* it would be! Also wik - I'm more than happy to help whoever would like to tackle this in any way I can, whether it's with audio files, images, or whatever. I've worked in software/web development doing C#, JS, HTML/CSS, XML/VXML, PHP, and ASP.NET if that's of any use here. I also have design/branding experience with Photoshop/Illustrator. Still pretty new when it comes to using FO4Edit though. Also also wik - Thanks in advance!
DietPepsi1997
I'm game. (as in; "I'd like to see that too!") Got nothing to add though. Would be cool to be able to set up a shooting range like the one in Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Edited February 26, 2016 by DietPepsi1997
PhoenixKnight13
I'm working on some at my settlement to throw up a few 'inspirational' screenshots in the next day or two, see if it draws more interest. Was thinking of additional ideas as well, like domino effect setups (think Rube Goldberg lol). Oh, and if this does end up coming to fruition; I shall name it Shooter's Paradise. :D Edited February 27, 2016 by PhoenixKnight13
MLeonhardt
If you pick up a copy of Picket Fences in game you might learn how to build statues or flamingos in your Settlements. I've been using those as targets.
