Bleach mods

Okay, i know there have been a couple of ideas for this, but none of them seem to have gotten much attention.

 

First of all, Bleach is an anime (its like a Japanese cartoon basically, except with more violence and realistic characters than English cartoons) If you're unfamiliar with it, i suggest you check it out :happy:

 

Now, for my ideas, i was hoping someone would create a Zangetsu, the main character's sword. There are three stages of Zangetsu: Zanpakuto, Shikai, and Bankai. (these increase in strength.) If someone could make quests to get these in some similarity to the story line of Bleach, it would be cool.

 

 

For those great modders who don't know about Bleach, this is the story line in a way. The main character gets his Zanpakuto. Then he learns the name of his sword through training (a quest in Oblivion maybe) and gets his shikai. It replaces the zanpakuto, btw. Then, by fighting the real form of Zangetsu (some oldish dood with glasses) he gets the ability to use Bankai.

 

Now for the order of this all.

 

(Form) - (name) - (state) - (how it should be made as a weapon)

Zanpakuto - Zanpakuto - permanent - Two-handed sword

Shikai - Zangetsu - permanent (replaces zanpakuto permanently) - Two-handed sword

Bankai - Zensa Zangetsu - temporary (replaces shikai for a limited time)+(MAKE THIS A POWER IF POSSIBLE) - One-handed sword

None of them have gotten much attention since there are new meshes required, and putting them together in any meaningful way takes a significant amount of scripting to make the effects work... There are also some things which can't really be done well if at all... Namly the wrappings, the chain, the special attacks. Also, anyone who does release a mod like this will probably be bombarded by all the fanboys who want all the other swords too.

 

There is also the whole fickle fanboy thing over here too. Just like in http://forum.gamingsource.net/index.php?showtopic=36456

 

There are somethings which are basic enough to transfer over (some weapon designs for example), there are also things which just wouldn't work at all (special attacks and pretty much everything else), which fanboys would still want and ask for. And both would usually just result in brief "I look like xxx, watch me fight and do stuff.... Ok, I'm bored now, what else is on?" kinda stuff. Which means that such things on their own wouldn't be worth the effort involved in making them.

 

That said... Carving knife...
