console cheats / exploits in openmw?

i read some place that the console in openmw does not allow the use of cheats or exploits

is this true? was thinking about trying it out but with the way some (not all) mods throw heavy fps hits

that really slow my game to a slugs crawl i like to use a permanent fortify speed spell just to move about.

nope is not true you can use any cheat
but remember to use "Tab" key and select with the mouse the character you want to use that cheat
for example:
press tab select your character and go in console, add gold_001 10000
it will give u tons of money
im using openMW so its true what im saying

im using openmw and you can use cheats
just be sure to click your character(using tab key) and then using the cheat
