MsRae
So I have been working on re-sizing and changing some meshes for constructable objects and there is something which I can't seem to figure out. Using F04Edit or Nifskope (as those are all I know how to use), how do you resize the bounds for placing an object in build mode? For example, when I shrink objects to say 0.5 of their original size (with Nifskope), despite the collision being shrunk at the same rate (which I know because both Nifskope says so and in game the player can walk through, under and around the object), when trying to place them with the build menu they have their original vanilla placement bounds (i.e. will be red when they are visually really far away from other objects). At first I thought it was the OBND (object bounds, Fo4Edit) which controlled this but it honestly doesn't seem to change anything even if I set the values to 1 and move up from there. Am I just not doing it right? I find it difficult to figure out what the new object bound values would even be so I have been winging it until now. So it would be nice to know how to find that out from the .nif file. Can anyone help with this? Thanks if you can! DLDR (just because): Trying to shrink/alter vanilla meshes for constructable objects and don't know how to make the required build area shrink too (not a collision problem). Ethreon
OBND controls how NPCs see the object, not it's dimensions.
MsRae
Thanks! At least that's one thing I can eliminate in my search.
