Teddygrahams
Hey guys. I realize this is probably a longshot but I figure you guys might have an idea of what's wrong here...After recently re-installing NV, I set up a nice little suite of mods, load order as follows. FalloutNV.esmDeadMoney.esmHonestHearts.esmCaravanPack.esm Project Nevada - Core.esm Caliber.esm Lings.esm AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm CHEMS.esm CFWNV.esm AmmoSpreadEffectFixer.esm ELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esm ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esm iHUD.esm DarNifiedUINV.esp Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp NewVegasBounties.esp NewVegasBountiesII.esp CHEMS - Basic Chems.esp CHEMS - Benches.esp Centered 3rd Person Camera.esp BLTC NV.esp BLTC NV Immersion Patch.esp UHNV.esp UHNV-Dead Money.esp UHNV-Chems.esp Cannabis.esp PerkEveryLevel.esp Desert Armor.esp Project Nevada - Desert Armor Patch.esp Stalker Weapons Pack.esp WeaponModsExpanded.esp WMX-AWOP Patch.esp WMX-PreOrderPackCaravan.esp WMX-ArenovalisTextures.esp WMX-ModernWeapons.esp WMX-DeadMoney.esp WMX-HonestHearts.esp NVWillow.esp ELECTRO-CITY - Darker Nights.esp Nevada Skies.esp Fellout.esp friendofnightforfellout.esp Merged Patch 1.0.esp Here's the deal: I tested out the game with just the vanilla game + DLC and NVSE and it worked perfectly, no issues whatsoever. Then I added all of these mods and whenever I try to start the game it crashes on startup. There are no conflicts here as far as I can tell (I used BOSS to double-check; sure enough, no conflicts), and the only time I touched Fallout_default.ini was to edit fonts for the Darn UI, so that shouldn't be the problem. I'm no newcomer to modding, but I'm completely stumped here, so if you guys have any ideas as to what the problem is I would be very, very grateful. Thanks in advance. djmystro
Lots of people stating new games with Honest Hearts seems to be having similar problems. I'm not sure but I'm guessing the Honest Hearts DLC does not include the FNV 1.3 Update which is confusing people coz it was released some weeks before. I'm just checking though (still don't own the DLCs) so if this is not the case let me know and I wont go telling anyone else the same thing. All I know is that 1.3 patch breaks 99% of existing mods not updated after it was released. I recently had to go back through my load order removing anything big not updated after May 10th (or there abouts) and updating everything else. Teddygrahams
Hmm, I can't really check if I have the 1.3 update because I can't start New Vegas without it crashing now, but it should be up-to-date automatically through Steam. I think I'll try reinstalling without Honest Hearts and see if that works, thanks. Edited May 24, 2011 by Teddygrahams
djmystro
Looking at a similar post to yours I believe that the 1.3 patch is included in Honest Hearts already (it would make sense since it was released after).I think the problem you have is the outdated mods not functioning anymore coz of all the stuff that update broke.I had to go through my load order dropping any mod not updated after about May 10th when the patch was released and updating the rest. Some basic object mods seem unaffected but pretty much everything else will need checking.
Teddygrahams
Ah, I see. I'm currently reinstalling, once that's done I'll have to go through the mods I've downloaded and see which ones have been updated and which ones won't work with 1.3. Hopefully that'll resolve my issues. Edit: Looks like the problem was a sneaky little conflict between Project Nevada and my UI mods that I must have missed. Everything seems to be working fine now, case closed. Edited May 25, 2011 by Teddygrahams
