What are the Must-Have Mods?

Bag of holding is actually fairly limited. Try this one for a much expanded bag with multiple categories, plus a few more really handy features. It will also replace some of the HOV wardrobe functions. I don't know if they will work together or not, but if you select different keys they may.

Now that you have the ability to carry a couple of tons around - how about a mod that lets you automatically sort & deposit them into storage containers in your favorite home? Instantly!

Marvellous!!!! I will try them out. Excellent stuff. Thank you so much!

See this is exactly what I was reffering too. So many mods out there, some of them quite new, so it's difficult to keep track.

A friend of mine laughed when he heard that I didn't use the hotkeys mod, that's how I learnt about it. And now with just a press of a button, you can do some really important stuff without the need to TAB-open the menu, scroll down through a million of spells, which you bought or crafted yourself.

Not to mention all the great game fixes and improvements like COBL. I learnt about COBL from this very thread and I love it. I love the ingredients sorter.

Not to mentioned all the high-res skin replacers, like HEGC.

Anything else that I have missed?

See, some of the mods expand the game so much and are such a booster, that it changes the game much. Example: new interface mod, simply outstanding, you can't live without it once you install it. Or Natural Environment mod, it's such breaktaking. Or NPCs/characters faces improvements skins, as vanilla Oblivion have such ugly skins. I can't believe they released a game like Oblivion wih such a nasty face skins.

One more thing, I haven't mentioned any mansions/castles mod. Even though I consider some of them must-have ones, there are a lot of good ones, so tough to make a call. It's also very individual, depends on taste. Some of them are marvellous, thou.

No deadly reflex in that mod list of yours D:?
Nah i dont like DR xD

Ah! Yes, that's right. I've heard about it, never really got down to it. I remember that as I browsed through it, I wasn't sure if I like it. I take it that it's a must-have one?

I also never got down to installing Unofficial Oblivion patch. I suppose you will all yiell at me (for a good reason) and tell me to go install it immediately. Am I right? :)

So, why would I need Unofficial Oblivion Patch?

It fixes problems that shipped with the game. They have a detailed list of everything they have fixed...and it is a LOT.

re: The Unofficial Oblivion Patches. Bethesda stopped updating before they fixed literally thousands of bugs. The UOP fixes over 1800 of them. That's a lot of times your quests might break, or your female vampire ends up with the male default face after being cured. Probably about half the fixes are for things that could cause really annoying problems in your game. Maybe you wouldn't like it if Martin's spell hits an ally, and he gets a bounty and then guards attack him. You really might want to think about getting the UOP and the UOMP for any DLCs you have. As a plus, many files are optimized to give you better FPS.

Here's a mod I have grown fond of. Gather Ye Rosebuds.

Why do I like this mod so much? It lets you harvest plants in a radius. I enjoy picking up plants one by one, but sometimes because of the bounding boxes there will be a plant you absolutely can't pick up even after you pick all the plants around it. That is really annoying to neurotic people like me and to people who use mods that show which plants have been harvested. This mod lets you cast a spell anytime you would like all plants which you can legally gather within a certain radius to be picked up. No bounties. :) You can use it all the time, or only when there is a plant that overlaps other plants. It's not really a cheat, because the highest level of the spell annoys all hostile creatures in range and they aggro you. The spell will lower your magicka for awhile every time you cast it and sometimes it will break a scythe. Scythes increase the range a little.
