Visious
Hi, everybody, I`ve tried New Vegas on Win 7 ultimate and experienced a decreasing of performance, though on XP it runs perfectly. My PC is Phenom II x4 965, GTX 460, 4 gb RAM, SSD 128 gb Sympthoms are as follows: After loading game in interior it runs like it should, I can spent as much time, as I want in interior, it will work great all that time. When I exit to exterior the game becomes unplayable, about 1-3 fps, after a minute about 5-7 fps. Once I enter interior again the lags wont go away.I`ve tried D3D9 solution, but it doesnt resolve the issue. Only by decreasing graphics to very low quality I can play, but still I have about 5-10 fps in exterior. Sorry, but I havent found any usable info in forums, so I created this one, can anyone suggest something? Thanks. SariDecember
Try using a ram booster. Fallout won't use your full 4GB of RAM unless you tell it to. Use google search "FO3 RAM Boost" Don't know if it solves your problem but it gave me some extra fps. Is your processor a dual core? Edit: Oops, just saw you were asking about help on NV but as far as I read, it works for NV too! Edited May 24, 2011 by SariDecember
Visious
Well, NV uses about 1.5 gb of ram, I actually use ram booster, but it is not much of a help and the problem is not in memory, it works on XP perfect.Processor is quad core, I know about isssues with more that 2 cores, I modified ini file with bUseThreadedAI=1, but it is the same with it ir without. They are not in the ini now, as I said, I`ve tried all solutions, but no one helped. I think that the problem in dx9, I reinstalled it and used the latest for jun 2010 and then added dx 11, a lot dlls were added, but situation is the same - just when I exit to exterior cell - I have terrible lags.
