Will do. That makes me wonder... If I play Skyrim to medium, but still load mods like 2k skyrim and SMIM, am I going to notice a lot the changes vs playing on ultra?

No, sir. Once we solve this problem I'm sure you can tune your system up to ultra.

After troubleshooting we need to make a couple of corrections, one in your Skyrim\Data\SKSE\skse.ini

And in your enblocal.ini

If you're running stable, go to Skyrim Launcher and crank it back up to ultra. Disable all antialiasing, aisotropic filtering, and the water effects under Advanced... Enb will handle those.

Yesterday I saw a post where someone got past the spinning carriage with over 100 mods by simply uninstalling skse, then reinstalling at Riverwood. Ye Olde Spinning Carriage is one of the reasons I suggested a vanilla profile and vanilla backup at Riverwood. The starting quest and tutorials are heavily scripted. I went on that wild buggy ride after I created my second character with over 100 new mods.

Just curious, what version of ENB client are you using?

Latest, straight from the site

I'll try that. I swear my game is plagued by Shegorath, whilst running a tiny mod list of really simple things I get crashes, freezes, crash/freeze in the inventory and I'm not even changing anything, just quitting and restarting the game.

EDIT: Tried, freezes in combat again

EDIT2:

Changed

And so far things are running very smoothly

I think Shegorath is hiding in one of the mods in your small list. I would start disabling a few at a time starting with the most graphic intense mods, like 8k or 4k textures.

Try disabling enb effects (default shift+F12)

Do you have UHRP? There's a chance it will fix freezing and it's recommended for SMIM.

I don't run any 8k or 4k textures, honestly I can't tell the difference from 2k in game  But that last change in enblocal.ini seems to have somewhat stabilize things, I'll continue testing it

Yes, I have UHRP along with the legendary patch.

So far, Enhanced FPV and SMIM (almost sure) was causing a crash near the Meadery, but I'm having a bug which causes the game to CTD when pressing Esc to bring up the menu. Has anyone heard about this?

EDIT

Just a little update

I decided to start installing mods alphabetically (with care of course, I know my mod list backwards by now ) and so far I'm already at "E" (according to LOOT 62 plugins of my 200+ list) and I've been having no problems in my Riverwood-Whiterun Gates + fight

This post also helped a lot, so anyone with stutter/freeze problems give it a look: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/994032-skyrim-stutteringfreezingcrashing/

I'll update latter with news

You know what? I run mod A and I get problem X, I remove mod A, reload a save before mod A, problem X stays. I remove mod A B C, clean save, problem X goes away. I re-install mod A B C, no problems. I install mod D, problem Y, remove D, the problem persists, I remove all, clean save, and I get problem X Y and Z.

So that doesn't make a lot of sence but neither does what I'm doing!

I still get constantly plagued by mostly freezes on combat and crash when opening the esc menu, or inventory, or magic... Not to mention CTD when my mod list is all activated. Whatever.

I would like to thank everyone who helped, especially Tony, who was amazing and very patient, but I simply doesn't work, no matter what mods I have on. I guess I'll try in a few months or when I have more time/patience.
