nexusplanet
Hello Community. First of all, english is not my native language so please excuse any mistakes ... I got the following problem. I was able to play Oblivion without major problems until i installed Nehrim. Because it didn't work for me i deinstalled Nehrim and started an new game in oblivion. But now all the interior is pretty much darker than usual. It seems that the textures do not reflect the light in the way they should. I'll add a screenshot at the end of this topic.I already tried reinstalling oblivion (uninstalled oblivion, removed all remaining data including savegames and the oblivion.ini) but it didn't work. Now i reinstalled my entire OS but it didn't work too. If anyone knows what to do, please help me. I'm getting really frustrated. heres the screenshot klick me Thanks in advance Edited May 26, 2011 by nexusplanet
HeyYou
Post your load list. You could also try ajusting the Gamma Correction, (or maybe brightness) in the in-game video options?
nexusplanet
Load list? After reinstalling Windows i installed Oblivion without any patches or Addons or mods to figure out what causes the problem. I could move the brightness slider to maximum to get back the normal brightnes inside the dungeons but other areas (exterior, areas with torches or lamps) will get extremely bright. I think it's some kind of shader problem but i don't know how to fix it.
HeyYou
When you uninstalled the game, did you delete the install folder, and the one in My Games? If not, might wanna reinstall again, using Bben's guide. I think its in the mod troubleshooting forum somewhere.....
nexusplanet
I reinstalled my entire OS. There were no oblivion files left. But the problem is solved now. I used a resolution of 1920*1080 which seems not to be supported by the game. I use 1280*800 now and everything is fine. Thanks for the help though.
