jdblake508
Hello, if you are reading this hopefully you can guide me to the right path, the reason i started this is because i would like to know how to add custom sound effects to skyrim.I think i might be going about it the wrong way but if anyone has suggestions and looks at this posts hopefully you can help. What i have tried so far is going into the creation kit and then going to sound description add new sound effect. However whenever i try to add a new sound that way i get an error that says invalide file directory. One thing to note is that I have no sound fx in my sound folder. I have heard it involves something with the sound.bsa if anyone can help me figure out this issue it would be much appreciated thank you for your time. jdblake508
Thank you, for the help. Do you know why there isn't a fx folder under sound for me? Thanks again :)
skinnytecboy
Just create one yourself and pop your sounds in there. Sound/fx/MyModName/ Note re track length: You shouldn't exceed 3.09 :)
jdblake508
I figured it out i needed to extract the sound bsa folder to my sound directory, from there i could add the sounds i wanted. Thanks :)
