AK101 or AK105

anybody can make a tactical ak101 or ak105 SBR ? I'm quite sure it would be on top of all other weapon mods :)

I only link to blender if i'm cranky, or the OP sounds like an entitled, whiny douche.

That said, even if I committed to doing this, i've got 3 hats, 2 masks, 3 weapons, and an outfit in the pipe before I could get to this.

The issue with making a AK-family rifle is that there isn't any well suited animations for it. Pretty much closest you can get are the combat rifle and smg animations which have several flaws. CR has grip with more traditional rifle grip design, and also has too long gap between the trigger and magazine. SMG on the other hand has pretty usable grip and hand positioning, however the magazine insertion isn't optimal as the drum magazine is inserted partly sideways, and the grip from the magazine doesn't fit box magazines. Also both feature right sided charging handle, which isn't correctly positioned even if the AK would be given some sort of aftermarket right side charging handle.

It's not the GECK that's the big effort here, it's the modeling, texturing, and in the case of what Junnari's talking about, the animation.

 

If you don't think these are big deals, go to Steam and find the Ultimate Grenade Tutorial videos (they're free AFAIK). See how much work the guy puts into modeling and texturing a hand grenade. Then multiply by a factor of ten, and add animation.

 

That's quite a bit of work, and casually calling out 'Anybody want to?' sort of makes you like a cheerleader trying to call plays to the football team. So, why not try to figure out how to do it yourself? All the glory of that top-tier weapon mod will be yours.
