HeyYou
Because at this point, it is the only avenue I have to try and fool myself into thinking that it just 'might' make a difference. Also, by actually taking part in the system, I feel it gives me more of a right to whine and complain about it. :D

We would still end up with the same folks in power. Basically, little or nothing would change. Why do you think most of those folks don't bother voting? He is probably the most likely to win the GOP primary. He has pretty much the same ideas as Obama, but admits the things he would be doing are weak. EX: For his healthcare plan, it is the same as Obama's. Obama claims his healthcare is groundbreaking, Romney says his won't do much and will help with spending. I believe Mitt did pretty much the same thing in Massachusetts some time back? It isn't "Healthcare" reform by any stretch of the imagination. It doesn't touch healthcare at all.... it is just more regulations for insurance companies, and a requirement for american citizens to purchase a commercial product. I view it as unconstitutional, and others agree.... but, I suspect we are going to be stuck with it, unless the republicans take the senate, and whitehouse next time around. Also, I don't see financing tax breaks for the rich/corporations on the backs of the poor, as doing anything other than further destroying our society. Those policies have been tried in the past, numerous times, and they didn't work then either. What makes anyone believe they will work now is utterly beyond me.
