akos515
Hi there! I'm very new as a mod creator, and as forum swimmer, but long time lurker on the main pages. I've been messing around in 3ds Max. I want to modify a Grey Knit Cap [Fallout 4 mesh, a .nif file] to look more like a Beanie, its really not a difficult thing, and one of the final update of one my mod and I just can't figure it out. I got 3ds Max just for it, saying "how difficult can it really be? Probably not that much..." aaand I'm here, looking for just a little spare time for a minor modification from someone. I tried to figure out on my own, but realised that I need more research to even handle a 3D softvare properly, I'm pretty good with Textures and connecting dots for the game, but not yet with 3D models. It would make me really happy if you could make the Beanie mesh, for me, also I think Fallout 4 need more Beanies as mods, so it would be a nice avaible resource for others too i think. Vauge, but If you could say some tricks for me about handling a 3D softvare, idk where to look, what to read and/or watch for better understanding yet, it would make me very happy. ♥ If you would make the Beanie mesh and also give tips and tricks you know about, what makes easier to handle a 3D software. A picture what I'm talking about, a Bobble cap to a Beanie.http://i.imgur.com/PleGmLXl.png Edited March 4, 2016 by akos515

I got Zbrush too, so i can make Normal map if needed. some questions though:- Am i going to modify the existing mesh from the game? or make a comp new mesh? akos515
HoiI don't know which one is more easier to do, I really don't want to take up much of your time. I think if you modify the existing mesh from the game is faster and easier, but you know how it would look better. I just want it to work for the game, have a world model and such, both for female and male versions of the file, ummm if you need the mesh for it you could download my retexture for it here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10471/? , I've tried to be handy when I made this small mod about stuff like that (foward thinking yay!). It will be a suprise for a streamer and a streaming group when the survival changes drops, uhh I think i want to use the texturesof the Grey Knit Cap modifications for it what I made and fix the lines to look better. Alsooo I can't respect your work with money, I'm not working yet, but I can draw something nice for you for it like an avatar or something nice for the mesh if thats OK.

So you might need to change the file format, using 3DSmax . I may have to make a new uvmap, when i remodel the model, because it will change the mesh, so the old uvmap may not work after. ( but its easy to paint a new texture, since you have the old uv) i do this for free , no worries :)
akos515
I've uploaded a Misc. file on the mod Page called WIP Beanie for you, it have the .nif meshes, and the .obj mesh saves I improvisingly Imported with NifScope. I don't know if it helps but hope  Also I study economics, even if freebie sound nice, I grew up respecting the work people do for me, even if thats only bringing me a cup or so.Trust me, I would make you a 3D model for a 3D printer to print you one of the delicious cakes my grandma cooked, ....if I would be able to program it, ...and the printing technology would be more common.

akos515
exactly, I just check it with NifScope for some calibrations if its even needed, and use the retextured file I have in the mod, change it a bit to match better for the form.
